Yes I did have a bet on us going down, the reasoning for that being 1) I thought there was a good chance we'd go down and 2) if that happens the blow is sweetened by some cash in my pocket. What's wrong with that? Why would I support Lester? Who were you supporting while I was in the lowest crowd ever for a competitive Hull City match?
He bores the hell out of me when he talks. He is so dull and that pretend smile of his makes me cringe. I seriously do not know how the Lester owners have not had a word in his ear about his interviews.
The Pat Murphy interview was even more embarrassing then last nights. It was a one way discussion with Pearson answering in one word sentences most of the time. This complete over reaction to criticism is not normal.
HaHaHa. Chelsea were just playing with Lesta last night. Quality performance in the 2nd half and a massive help to Hull City as well. Dont you just love Nigel Pearson in media situations.
We only need Slumberland to get turned over now as Qpr and Burnley are gone. The mackems were lucky to stay up back in 2009.
Owned... buy a journalist who knew full well Nige had had a talking to and had already apologised. Brave journalist.
Made to look like an insolent fool by someone far more intelligent and eloquent more like. It was role reversal in many ways, the bully was bullied. He knew he couldn't win that particular battle and struggled to give an answer that made any sense. He was owned alright.
Last night was the the reversal. The media are bullies. Today was the the equivalent of a revenge attack while Nige had his hands tied behind his back. You'll never overcome the might of the British media.
The daft twat should have realised that before acting like a **** with one of them then. Out of his depth.
Thought Nige handled himself well there. Thought Pat Murphy sounded like a tosser. He was begging for Pearson to rage at him to get his name in the headlines, also sounded like he was venting some personal grudges.
Gotta admire a trier though. Nothing worse than a media suck-up, like some other managers I could mention.
Just having some plain old manners and a bit of respect, for both himself and a bloke asking some run of the mill questions, would have been a better stance. He just comes across as an arrogant buffoon when he acts the hard man. A few home truths were told then and Nige didn't like it, not one bit.
Where was Murphy's manners? Or is revenge acceptable these days? Let's face it, the journo last night was trying to get Pearson to trash the fans who have been negative for so much of this season. Pearson got short with him when continually pressed. The "home truths" you're referring to were bordering on slander. I'm sure you wouldn't like it either. Pearson never got personal last night (except to use the words silly and stupid) unlike the "profession" journalist.
