Well, I'd probably go for Gallas (or even give Kaboul a decent punt) when he's injured, but I did state:

Sorry, missed the when everyone is fit bit. Other than that (allowing for the fact that we WILL get a new striker) its about the team I expect will start against Everton

Perhaps putting them in a diamond formation would be slightly foolish, but I wanted Sandro playing slightly more defensive to support the back 4 with Hudd pulling the strings. VDV in his favored "hole".

I thought it was quite a strong side.
I'm interested to hear what you would prefer for the top 4 teams?

Sorry, you may have misunderstood me, I meant that was the side I expect to start the season (against Everton, the blue and red Mancs, etc) not just the side I expect to start against Everton then a different formation/team for the following games.

Are we forgetting that if we sell Modders, Bale is out the door too?
I am very unhappy at the lack of respect Modric is showing, but whether it is him or media hyping everything up I'm not sure. Why is it that Spurs are not allowed to keep hold of our better players. Why is it that the media feel we must sell our better players to one of the top four? I partly blame the crap that is written in the papers that have singled him out and kind of forced him through the door. I hope that he decides to stick with us until at least Jan.

Possibly. But we're going to have to live with this from now on, as Harry said if we sell Modric we may as well accept we are a mid-table club.

Players like Bale, VDV, Sandro even Daws don't play for mid-table clubs, they play for clubs challenging for things.

So IF we sell him, we may as well prepare for losing all that is good about our team (not our CLUB, our TEAM) and return to the doldrums from whence we came.

Let's not be too hasty. We may have underestimated just how pissed off, and deadly serious about all this, that Levy is. He must be all too aware that Modric could prove to be the thin end of the wedge.
I wouldn't be at all surprised to see Modric still in a Spurs shirt come August. Having said that, in the long run, there's no point in clinging on to a player whose head is elsewhere. However, we need time to find replacements before we just give up and let him go.

BUt we just AREN'T doing that, we don't seem to be close to signing anyone, Harry has admitted as much.

Bloody Liverpool have hooked their top transfer targets ALREADY, and they can't offer even Europa football next season, and have a squad thats almost the size of ours now.

I have all my fingers crossed, which could explain why it takes me so much time to comment, that this week Levy realises just how much doom & gloom there is amongst the supporters and how pervasive & debilitating that can be to the club as a whole in pre-season and gets some ****er (NOT JOE BLEEDING COLE) signed and sealed before our game on Saturday.
