Going by your list, Rio scores a high mark on each. Historically there isn't enough space to write it all, it has one of the most iconic monuments in the whole world, a massive diverse culture, Brazilians are some of the friendliest people I've ever met, every home I've been welcomed into there it's like I'm a family member the minute you arrive and the food is awesome, there's a new Rodizio opening in Port Solent soon, yum! Hated it - absolutely bloody terrifying. That was just the airport. Was there for a meeting and there were armed guards outside our hotel rooms. Beach was nice and the girls were very attractive though i guess some of them had bigger willies than me.
I had a similar situation in Birmingham, in the bull ring. Felt like one of those Amazon tribes people who's suddenly dumped in New York or London (although I didn't pish myself).
I've been there many times, sure there are murders, that looked like a drug related warning video, but is it any worse than some other places? The USA doesn't look a lot better for all the fabulous wealth they have there. You need to man up and venture past the end of your street
