Morning all from a chilly West West London. With the ongoing issues with my trapped nerve, I am only driving into corporate madness 2 days per week and can WFH for the other 2 days. Means I am visiting the gym daily and working off the years of excess pounds - lost 17 Kgs now!

I don't think you can have too many threads - or posts - it is good to see the board so lively - better than for a long time and mostly football related for once which is good. We actually have far fewer threads than any other club with a similar or greater number of total posts. The only problem comes if you have two threads on the same exact topic and then we usually manage to gravitate to one of them and if worst comes to the worst they can merge.
Thanks Leo and entirely agree (great to see so much activity and all so happy!) but just wanted to check everyone was ok with it!

I was just planning this weekend with Mme... .and then realised I have another event on Saturday We are going up to the lakes today for our rescheduled balloon trip... I am not sure it will go as it is so windy oop north...oh well a night in the lakes.. I am sure we will manage
Morning all from a bright but breezy dot on the French map. Seems as if we might be getting a wet weekend which is a bit of a shame as tomorrow is a public holiday and many will have a long break. May is a good month if you do not like going to work, with four days off, but it will not have much effect on me as I have loads to do before I set off south for my holiday. The balloon trip organized for Mme when we lived in the UK was postponed six times before she finally took to the skies. The wind was usually too strong and it was not until a few hours beforehand that you would find out that it was off. She did finally get lift off and has always wanted to go again despite the trouble she had getting in and out of the basket.
I have just been through a monumental saga with BT during which they 'lost' my house phone number. To get it back they finally realised that they let it go 'back' to Virgin, as We were with Virgin about 10 years ago. I simply wanted to switch numbers in the house. No joke they have strung me along week after week, I have spoken to no doubt at least 10 BT call centre staff, home move staff, number port staff, customer adviser staff ( that is what they called themselves when I raised a complaint) and finally a complaints manager when I complained about the complaint. They finally realised what they had done .... after changing one phone number three times and sending me letters with my new number ( I just wanted my OLD number back)... Finally telling me that when an engineer had tried to change it to my house extension, he had 'let it go' by accident and it had gone back to Virgin... and there was NO WAY they could speak to Virgin and get it back for me even though it was their cock-up.. she then suggested I phone Virgin and ask them to give me a short term contract and then transfer back to BT.... F@ck that! After literally hours on the phone trying to explain to ignoramuses in India and UK.. .they can stuff it. I phoned Virgin, and yes my number was free... .within a week they sorted it... the engineer was in this morning and even wired into the BT line coming in to my new extension....and now finally I have my number back!! BT paying me back all costs etc... Ironically we now have THREE different telecoms lines in our house. BT my mum Virgin me Sky our broadband and family house line what a Saga....
