    George Best scored 6 goals in one match against Northampton. But two Utd players have each scored 5 goals in a single game.

    Can you name them?

    Berbatov and Cole did each score 5 goals in a game v Ipswich and Blackburn respectively. Can't think who else did but possibly Denis Law.

    I want to say Kanchelskis, but I think his was a hat trick in a 5-0 victory, not five goals in a single game. Was it Denis Law?

    Also, didn't some bloke also score six goals in a game for us in the early 1900s? I remember reading somewhere that Best wasn't the only player to score six in a game for us.

    That would be in many a bitters dreams!! No, he didn't.
    He scored a goal and it happened to be the one that was seen to relegate us. Not that it did but why spoil a good story, we were going down anyway.
