I heard that the ring only cost one shilling. Apparently at the wedding feast they're gonna dine on mince and slices of quince.
Well our love birds finally get their day in court. Now married like i said. Sounds like a cracking brawl to be fair. http://www.hulldailymail.co.uk/Woma...211-landlady/story-26404430-detail/story.html A WIDOW had the tip of her nose bitten off when she got into a fight while out celebrating her 53rd birthday. Deborah Anderson had drunk ten pints of lager when she was attacked by Gemma Wilson, 22, in the Corner Bar in Hessle in the early hours of February 9, last year, Hull Crown Court heard. The severed part of her nose was found by landlady June North and put in a pint glass, which accompanied the victim when she was taken to Hull Royal Infirmary by Corner Bar DJ Dave, the court heard. The tip, which measured 2.5cm in length by 1cm wide, was stitched back on, while Mrs Anderson also had stitches to a cut in her right eyebrow. A jury was shown CCTV footage of the incident, in which the grandmother was shown dancing "enthusiastically" and occasionally waving her arms in the air. Stephen Welch, prosecuting, said: "The prosecution case is she accidentally bumped into Gemma Wilson. "From the footage, it might not be the first time she ended up bumping into her that evening." After the last "bump", Wilson is seen pushing Mrs Anderson with such force she is thrown across the dance floor and falls over a table. She is helped to her feet by two men. Mr Welch said: "What happens next might be rather unusual from a 53-year-old widow and grandmother. "She, after a short few moments, walks up to Gemma Wilson's then boyfriend, now husband, Samuel Ledger, and punches him in the face. "It was not the sort of punch you would expect from a 53-year-old grandmother – it was a punch thrown with some considerable force." Mr Ledger responds by punching Mrs Anderson in the face, which knocks her over another table. Mr Welch said: "Even as she is going down to the floor very forcefully, the defendant Gemma Wilson lands upon her, legs astride her, and can be seen to rain punches upon her from a position where she is clearly raining punches on her head and face." Wilson can then be seen "moving towards" Mrs Anderson before the camera's view is obscured by people either trying to separate the two women or squaring up to each other. The court heard Mrs Anderson would not be giving evidence in person because she could not remember anything between being pushed to the floor and being treated in hospital. Instead a statement she made was read to the court. It said: "I can't remember who I was dancing with at the time. "I'm struggling with my memory – I think it's through the shock of what I'm about to describe. "I can remember being forcefully shoved to the floor. "All I can remember next is severe pain in my nose. "When I looked in the mirror for the first time I was in complete shock. I had no idea how bad it was." Mrs Anderson did not know at the time if the operation to repair her nose would be successful, but said she was scarred for life. Wilson, of Lime Tree Avenue, Hessle, has admitted unlawfully inflicting grievous bodily harm, but denies causing grievous bodily harm with intent to cause grievous bodily harm. Mr Welch told the jury: "She drops upon Deborah Anderson and deliberately punches her. "It's a very fluid movement; there's no staggering around. "The prosecution say this is a key issue, because if Gemma Wilson wasn't extremely drunk there seems to be no reason why she wasn't aware what she was doing to Deborah Anderson through those moments."
