Not for 30 m and silly wages chief, genuinely. He may end up a top player or he could go the way of Jones and just be decent.
Chelsea didnt buy Shaw because hes too young and would have required coaching. A concept that is entire alien to Chelsea. He would also do alot of attacking. That is forbidden at the leagues dullest and most boring club.
Not for 30million... Yet you have many expensive players who have been absolute rubbish. Dont think the excuse washes. The reality is, you found another club blew you away financially and Chelsea realised at that point... Their financial advantage was gone.
Chief, Chelsea wanted to sign Shaw but Mourinho was worried about his wages, i'm glad we've got him, he's going to prove a lot of people wrong next season.
Shaw MIGHT become a very good player but he's not in the same class as Azpillicueta right now even playing out of position.
No we found another club so desperate they literally threw silly money at trying to recover former glories. In fact they have assembled the most expensive side to finish 4th in football history. Well done you
Your predictions always come true so I look forward to him being loaned back to Southampton and then signed by QPR after ten years in your reserves.
Cuadrado? It seems of little concern that similar money could be blown on this waste of space. At least with Shaw we're buying potential instead of a so called finished article who then simply can't handle it. You're right, it might not work out. I suspect it will though and until we know for sure none of us is 'right' in this.
Well I have to say, it is unlike Matth to assume everything associated with United is or will be amazing. Only about the 100th time you've used the 'prove a lot of people wrong next season' mantra.
I agree, he's been poor but we all know there is risk in buying anyone, let alone foreign imports. I bet his wages are a lot less than Shaw as well. He should be better with a full pre season under his belt etc.
Isn't he almost 26 now? If a 26 year old wasn't better than a 19 year old then you'd be worried! Particularly given he must have played around three or four times as many games at senior level. Tho' I wouldn't say he's established himself in their side - hasn't he largely been dropped for Juanfran since Spain's disaster of a World Cup?
I agree a 26 year old should be better than a 19 year old, but it wasn't me saying Shaw should be in a combined team was it..... #blamematth
Actually it was London's who put both Shaw and Blind ahead of Azpi in the OP. Matth was claiming Shaw should be ahead of Blind, neither of them even considered Azpi... #footballgeniuses
Chelsea's youth teams are cleaning up at the minute and yet they still went out and spent £22million on Cuadrado. Is there really no one in the U21 team that could do a similar job to Cuadrado ie come on for the last 5 minutes and give the ball away? His signing is just another example of Jose's refusal to bring any players through the ranks.
This, this and 10 million ****ing times this........................... The guy has a ****ing mental defect when it comes to Youth players......... Guess even the greatest managers have to have at least one flaw I suppose.
