We should aim higher, go for the heady heights of third.

    Let's live the dream.

He's the manager though so it's bound to come down to him. Do you not think it's his fault then?

Of course it's his fault, he's clueless. No amount of charts, stats or finger pointing at the media and other clubs can hide the fact that he's a fraud.

Most Dippers have been making excuses for him (and his comicaly bad signings) all season. They've only just started to see the light. I hope he stays at least one more season as the damage he could do given another summer transfer spree could be catastrophic.

My thoughts exactly, he's a billy bullshit who just spouts off management speak.

He'd make a half decent coach but he's just gash as a manager.

This has been my concern from the start, I've said the same since he was appointed. I don't listen or read his pre and post match interviews as I'm not interested in what he has to say whether we are doing well or not so.

His signings are a mixed bag for me some imo are very good but there's no middle ground and the bad ones are terrible. I was just crestfallen when we signed Balotelli and knew it wouldn't go well.

If given the opprtunity he'll live or die by his signings this Summer, we have plenty of young players he needs that experience to come in.

Problem is that he seems like a manager who can do alright when trying to identify and sign players with potential, but is completely clueless when signing experienced players that are needed to balance the team. And the players he signs with potential are pretty much hit and miss over whether they actually deliver on that potential and become good experienced players.

All that leaves you with is a team that is constantly 'in transition' with lots of young players who give the more optimistic (deluded) fans the belief that you only need three or four good signings to be challenging at the top again. Which may be true, but Rodgers will never deliver those signings.

I agree, the likes of Coutinho, Moreno, Can most fans like and can see how they will improve but then we have the so called quality players like Lovren, Lallana and Balotelli they were supposed to be ready to go but have been poor. (I have to admit I liked the Lovren signing)

Brendan Rodgers is overrated, he's been found out this season.

How they could improve might be a better way to put it.

After all, everyone saw how Borini, Yesil, Ilori, Markovic etc could improve, but they've all gone nowhere but backwards. Coutinho's done well, but Moreno and Zidane still need to prove themselves.

I knew from pre-season that Liverpool wouldn't get into the top 4.

I think it's linked though, they would be playing better with the right player as in experienced to lead the way. I could be wrong but I'm quite confident that I'm not. I don't think we need an overhaul again we just the need the right 3 players in but that's the trick I suppose and it applies to every team.

    I agree.

Of course the right three players are De Gea, Pogba and Messi, so good luck with that <ok>

I think with the right incentives they'll be banging on the door to play for Rodgers, that link up with Balotelli will be hard to turn down for Messi.

Rodgers is suffering because of Gerrard. Mr Liverpool is leaving on, what can only be described as poor terms. Hes barely playing because hes clearly not good enough but this is a player who for the past decade, epitomises the 'liverpool way'.

His decision to announce he was leaving all but ended Liverpools season. The mood changed. It was the end lf an era.

Rodgers simply hasnt managed to pick the team up and instil some fight and belief in Liverpool. A Liverpool without a leader.

It will cost him his job and he will be remembered only because he was manager, when Gerrard left Liverpool.

It might be sad, if it wasnt spectacularly funny. <laugh>
