Irony. Your maths is out (they're only three points behind us), while his wasn't (the only way Leicester can get exactly 8 points is by winning two of their remaining games - not one, not three). You chose to assume something he didn't mention - ie how Leicester would fare in their other games. Take that erroneous assumption away, and what he wrote is fine. (What he's really guilty of is missing out a comma, which would have made his post clearer.)
Leicester will start as favourites against Newcastle on Saturday. Different sort of pressure. So we have the team that has won 4 on the bounce at home to the team that has lost 7 consecutively. We all know the outcome - banker away win.
Newcastle are ****ing hopeless - and seemingly without any heart. Really hard to see them suddenly waking up now.
