We need a manager with a reputation, not one whose excuse can be made by saying he is young and will learn. I do like BR in the way he had us playing (with Suarez, not this season), even the arrogance as the best always believe in their own ability and especially the way he embraces us and talks us up. But he isnt the one who will lift us trophies anytime soon, so for that reason we need to appoint someone with a good reputation

Hope im wrong and he turns it around! I cannot see it though. Why cant the lads turn up for a semi? Or Utd at home? I sound like a stuck record but you get my meaning

BR should make sure they give their all, always. We have no fight, teams know they can beat us and BR is being out smarted by a lot of opposistion managers now

I would say most of them look lost rather than don`t care, they don`t seem to know what is required of them or where they should be on the field.

Which is a worry for Rodgers tbh.

I'm just sick of a season where we know we can't go higher so we just give up. People laugh when it's aaid 'next year is our year' but it seems to be the motto of every Liverpool team.

And also, giving away ****ing free points to teams fighting from relegation just angers me. This season alone we've guven, Hull, West Brom, Leicster, Villa, newcastle free points to help them out from relegation. Even when we were fighting for the top spot against Man U all those years back we fancied giving Wigan some points to survive.

I've seen this year after year where we look promising and we just don't fancy it, last season was fantastic but it means nothing as we got nothing from it.

This bit is worrying, it points to a mentality problem (see City every time they win something) and only the manager can fix that.
You have the players to keep a settled formation but every time you get an injury the whole team changes to compensate. In the summer you lost Suarez (massive player) but changed the whole system to compensate, you still had the midfield that had been blowing teams away and added to them to cope with injury/suspensions. You still had the defence (which wasn`t the greatest) and added to it to strengthen and cope with injury/suspension. You were unlikely to replace Suarez but bought two strikers and brought one back from loan. There was no need to completely change the way you play and no need to play men out of position, only one man is to blame for tjhat.

I agree though to a certain extent, Suarez was so pivotal to how we played that without him we were forced to change style slightly. However you're right, we had a team that needed one or two improvements in middle of midfield and a consistent back 4 to help eradicate the defensive errors as well as someone who could offer 50% of what Suarez did in terms of movement and setting the tone for the rest of the team to follow. Unfortunately we went for a completely different approach and it backfired massively

Glad tonight's game wasn't televised. Listened to it on 5 Live, and that was bad enough.

Here's the question for the summer - who's going to be whom's human shield? Will Brendan finally snap and say the 'Committee' made him buy ****e last summer, or will JH and Warner say that they gave him the fund's and expected him to replace Suarez? (Though technically they didn't, as there was supposedly the Suarez money plus the original transfer budget to be spent last summer, and it wasn't).

Whatever the truth, and whatever the budget (and surely it has to be a fraction of last summer's) you can not have any confidence on either party's ability to spend our way out of this slump again. Coutinho apart, Rogers have generally bought cack, and FSG didn't even try and get anyone bar Sanchez last year as a marquee signing to replace Suarez. In truth, to paraphrase Spurs, we sold Elvis and bought The Rutles. Replacing Rogers may or may not be the solution - I strongly suspect that even if we do, we'll still have the same problem.

We all know that we made a mistake in not replacing Suarez but we also know that Can isn't a RB and that Balotelli running toward Coutinho to receive the ball is the exact opposite of what Coutinho wants.
Why the manager doesn't know this is the real mystery.

Over 1000 fans didn't turn up in protest of ticket prices the team did the same.

Anyone confident of a Europa place? It looks that we might struggle for a win in the last 4 matches. QPR are the best bet as they need that win but they maybe satisfied with a point and therefore park the bus.

For the goal? He was well onside. 3 yards ON when the ball was played to him. The other 3 didn't play the ball and therefore not considered.

ive not seen it but sounds similar to evertons goal? As a defence you push out, get your 3 men offside and hold a line only for 1 opposition player to run through taking advantage of the fact that you've pushed out and aren't expecting the offside players to be flagged.

Such a grey area that do feel sorry for defenders.

3-5-2? I just want to see the formation that worked so well last season which played to playestrengths rather than shoving them wherever....

    ----------------Mignolet--------------
    Flanno--Skrtel--Sahko--Moreno
    -----------------Can-----------------
    ---------Hendo---Coutinho-------
    ---------------Sterling--------------
    -----------Borini--Balotelli---------

Yeah the front two aren't amazing but at least there wouldn't be one player out of place, well if you don't include players who shouldn't be on the pitch altogether.

There's usually a knee jerk reaction to find a scapegoat when we lose. Doesn't matter how I look at the performances in the past 2 months, all roads point to the manager. I have not been able to find any shred of light in our team.
He has lost his dressing room, his respect and he has been found out.

We have a lot of young players in the squad and we need someone to ship them into shape, someone who isn't afraid to drop players, someone who the players are afraid of not giving 100%, someone who would kick a boot in the dressing room. No more Mr Nice Guy.
