Got a feeling that Punchestown won't be Don Polis kind of track. He will want stiff tests. Will be interesting to see the market reaction for Gold Cup next season. Will they shorten Vautour to silly money?

The step up in trip worked wonders for Valseur Lido there. Don Poli wasn't himself either and I'd be willing to write that run off pretty quickly. Apache ran a decent race again, flicked a few on the run in but was booked for 3rd regardless. A nice summer holiday awaits them now and thoroughly deserved after a hard season.

    Quite <ok>

They've had a proper novice season and well done connections for providing us with some great battles.

Interesting too see this newcomer for Jonjo, Startinfromscratch here. Yeats gelding and is closely related to Rock On Ruby also. I hope he runs well. I've no bet though so best of luck with the Hughes horse men for your bets.

Could be just over the top Wooly. He travelled ok for a while then just looked flat to me. He usually is a lazy type anyway but always finds for a bit of a squeeze, when Cooper went for him early he didn't pick up and I don't think he asked him for maximum effort all the way home. He knew the horse just wasn't under him today. A nice break now should rejuvenate him before a big season next year.

A bit annoyed that Don Poli got beaten today. Not because i backed him but because his stupidly short price for the Gold Cup was making Vautours price bigger! DP isn't in the same league....

Did anyone see the unseen forces at work there?

    Bayern vs fate, fate won.

Klopp will finish up with a trophy, brilliant, what he done with Dortmund I have never seen before and it seems the universe has decided his last game with the team he took from nothing to the top of Europe will be a celebration.

Think Eddie Howe at Bournemouth MOG! ..Good win for Dortmund alright. Klopp off to City or where do ya reckon? One thing he won't be guaranteed at City is time though which might negate any interest on his part. It takes a few year to build the way he does.

Oh, oh, oh, Bayern, not this year fellahs <doh>.

Quite the weirdest penalty shootout I have ever seen in my life. Two Beckham-like slips by two top-class Bayern players, and then Hummels missed for Dortmund too, not that it mattered. Crazy. <yikes>

STH, I reckon he's already got the job at City, be surprised if he hasn't.

They were anything but mundane at the peak of Klopps tenure! If it wasnt for that team I wouldnt be watching half as much football as I do now, electric, had got bored of the game until they came along, still think it was a tragedy they didnt get the big cup.

I hope he doesnt go to City, id prefer he went to a proper club rather than a new money club, Arsenal would be perfect but looks like Wenger will get another year. Thats if he decides to go to England, im sure he will have plenty of options at good clubs all over Europe.

Swanny, any other night Bayern would have won 3 nil, but they were up against something that you cant beat tonight.
