Well, can't say I want to see reading people moan about tonights performance. I'm off to watch episode 21 of Gotham
Annoying! How many bloody episodes are there? It's on Netflix once the season finishes on whatever channel it's on now. (not that you'd know what channel it's on)
Ok so finished Top of the Lake 8/10 and Fortitude 8.5/10 Started Better Call Saul which seems much better than I expected after 2 episodes. Will probably start GOT now seeing as I'm done with the others.
I hate when tv does this now. I think its a dead end for main stream tv when Netflix can release all episodes of their shows at once. I hate mid season breaks in shows... it can ruin the show for me. I nearly now prefer a short 10 episode series than a half year show with gaps in it.
I mostly like... i get get them all when i like months later the best exmaple is sky... they delete stuff off their list after a time and WORSE make stuff expire so if i download it and don't get round it expires and can't be watched it is stupid.
Not sure its the future par se but on demand is. I do feel there is more money to be made from adverts than from subscriptions so while I like the thought I can get all 10 epidsodes of GoT at once concept and watch it all in one day well... it is hard to have a built up or major hype around it if we all do. We could see a scenario like where kids queue up to buy games like whatever... call of duty at midnight to be first to be online giving spoliers but 24 hours later the show is done and it takes 6 months to make anything of any quality. if it takes 6 months to write and 6 months to shoot and is consumed in 10 hours then how to you monetise the thing? I feel there will be a change to netflix as they grow the subscriptions base to the point they are equal in viewers to the others
That would only be a problem if you're a sad act who does nothing but watch TV Also, when waiting from week to week, you're usually watching other TV series on a weekly basis too. If you downloaded them all in one go, you watch one at a time instead.
Another string of remakes on the way out, an angry birds movie, a remake of that Russian serial killer movie that was quite good. Makes one want to vomit. Can anyone tell me what has been a good remake of a a classic. #dogsvomit #toomanyshitactors #toomanyshitscripts #tomanyremakes
Flash and Arrow were both very much plot setters. Thought both were very good and both are being setup for a great finale.
Thank god none of you watch Mad Men. They've split the final season into two parts with a year in between. 3 episodes to go now of the final final 'season', or 'half-season', or whatever the **** it is, which has so far been quite underwhelming. Absolutely ridiculous. Networks taking the piss out of viewers. Nobody watches TV like they used to. The need to get up to date.
