I know it wasn't a massive weave, but those twitches are plain dirty.

To be honest I think even Hamilton knew he weaved a bit because straight after it he went on the radio and said:

    Guilty conscience much?

Half of me thinks that ever since Monaco the stewards are afraid to penalise Hamilton in case they get branded a racist or baised against him.

Someone should record every cringeworthy excuse he comes up with and play it back to him. Talk about no class

I know both Vettel and Lewis are tough cookies to break when it comes to overtaking them, but for me there's no need for twitching. It's funny that seb went straight into the pits knowing Lewis would most likely make contact if he tried.

Moving off the racing line and back into it for the corner is not weaving. If you want to see what a sneaky weave looks like watch 'the Turkey incident', webber show how to do it, onto the racing line, off it, back onto it then a leisurely move back off it.

You mean the 2010 Turkey incident? The one where Webber did not move an inch from the racing line and Vettel drifted over into him?

Well I seem to remember the rule was introduced after howls of protest, no surprises there, from McLaren and their fans at Schumacher's defending tactics. Schumacher from then on was cursed to only be allowed to move once and then be required to stay off line for the duration of the straight. The only time the rule became blurred again was after Lewis' constant infringments which the stewards were reluctant to penalise after Spagate and the furore, again no surprises there, from McLAren and their fans.

But why did Lewis have to twitch when he was already on the dry line? He responded to that first move but then shot back in front of Sebastian, he either didn't want to be on the wet stuff IMO, or he was stopping Sebastian have a decent exit speed in the end.

Just read this and remembered at the time that I thought Lewis was taking liberties, good posts.

Naaaahhhh..... didn't Hamilton describe all the guys he tried to overtake in Monaco dirty? What a joke. Vettel was doing a great job to not get hit by Hamilton if you ask me.

Lol? You really think Webber drove the racing line in Turkey 2010? Maybe you should watch the line of the following cars.....

I think with that situation Vettel must of thought Webber was going to yield earlier and let him have it, by the looks of it Mark had other ideas. I'm not excusing Sebs rash move there, but I just find it strange that Mark would hold his station and put his teammate in a dangerous event where he could of just yielded to the right and try to overtake him after the bend. They are also reaching the 100 meter mark which is around the breaking point, Seb was going to lose exit speed out of the corner to Lewis if he didn't go for it.

Sorry but where are the "when you no longer go for a gap" Hamilton fans backing this move? Vettel saw a gap and he went for it=racer.

Completely agree. Seb made an error turning in on Webber. Mark defended too aggressively considering it was his teammate though, he had him pinned against the white line, they were both on the dirty side of the track. Horner had always said (for almost two seasons) that he didn't mind his drivers racing as long as they gave each other room; Webber didn't. It was still Seb's mistake though, you'd expect drivers of other teams to defend as strongly as Webber did, and you wouldn't turn across the front of them.

Getting back to the British GP, I just thought I'd point out that Mercedes have overtaken Renault in the WCC now. Rosberg had a pretty quiet race and dropped a few places on the 1st lap but did well to climb back up to 6th. Schu also had a good race despite chopping off his front wing/nose and climbed to 9th.

Not the most exciting team at the moment, but credit to them for getting on with it when they can.
