What is the HCOSC doing about this? Or can't I ask that in case I jeopardise a very important case of autograph signing?
With only around 3-400 supporters a trust is doomed to failure unless any of it's members have a very large bank balance......even with players being paid £200 a week it is unlikely that gate receipts would cover the wage bill let alone other costs
It's started well, the North Ferriby United Supporters' Trust has been blocked from following North Ferriby United on Twitter. The bloke who's started it is standing as a candidate in the general election, there's a felling that there's an element of opportunism involved.
Does anyone know who owns the stadium and land at NFU ? According to last filed accounts up to 31/05/14 the fixed assets of the club are a paltry £140k up around £90k from the previous years. Capital of £127500 was injected (I assume a similar amount this financial year as well to get to the £250k that the Forsters said they have invested) But the land must be worth a tidy sum unless there's a covenant which limits it's use ? Anyone any idea ?
Would have happily gone along, but unfortunately I'm about to head over to Manchester & Liverpool with the Mrs for 3 days before she comes home & I stay over at Oulton Park as a guest of Yamaha for the weekend's BSB meeting
I shouldn't think they have any assets other than the ground and such a low value would suggest there are covenants on it(I'd be surprised if there weren't).
Märk Carroll and I would like to thank Les for the last 3 1/2 years we have worked with him, it has been an absolute pleasure, what we have achieved has been remarkable and we will always be in debt to him as he brought us to the club. We wish Les , Jill and his family all the very best in the future. Billy Heath.
From the NF Parish Plan 2011 :- "The football ground leased to North Ferriby United is also part of the area owned by the village Playing Fields Trust".
Just been told that there should be an announcement at this afternoons meeting regarding the status of the club & what league it expects to be playing in next season etc. I was also told not to expect anything else from other sources within the club & that all future information will be coming from official sources only (possibly in case of legal action, tribunals etc ?)
Of course it's all guesswork, or just plain common-sense. Do you have the real reason for this? If not then WTF are you talking about? I have not seen any wild speculation, folk seem to be sticking with what is known and discussing various aspects in a reasonable way; try it, you might learn something instead of just blathering. What is this error of judgment you have brought up; is it beyond your ken that some folk have the moral backbone to believe that any further collaboration with the Allam Family is simply unacceptable? I know that you and some others will struggle with that concept. I understand what you wrote, but is that what you meant? It may interest you to know that I too commented on more than one person making assumptions, so your pissy comment is as ****ish as it comes across. Common-sense is what most folk are using to discuss this on an anonymous footy forum; well it was until you piped up. A simple question for your incisive business mind, TOM: do you believe, when they were all wearing another clubs ties at Wembley, when you were wearing the scarf you so magnanimously gave away (hurrah!), they had no idea this was imminent or do you think there might have been some catalyst from the public outcry over the Airco Arena. Just guessing, really aren't we; although if we conclude that they had no idea about their periolous finances then we would have to stop guessing and conclude that they are as thick as **** - almost as thick as those who offer them moral support.
The very sad part of this is the manner of it. Anyone who works with grassroots football knows just how difficult it is to keep the heart of a club beating. Not only does this drive away support, but it drives away players, it drives away sponsors, it drives away the good folk who get involved and raise cash, cut grass, wash strips, sell programmes, act as secretaries and just generally enjoy the success and swallow the losses. I don't feel sorry for the club, I feel sorry for the people, I feel sickened by what the Forster's have done in the name of success, I feel saddened that someone seems to want to criticise others for guessing but does not feel inhibited from raising the spectre of blame around Les Hare. These are defining times, indeed.
North Ferriby United @northferribyutd Can you please note the SUPPORTERS CLUB meeting will now be 1PM Saturday and not 2 PM as previous tweet in the @Ferribysportbar
