No team, ever, will have a full strength squad all season. We've had Dawson, Elmo, Tom, Jake, Hernandez all fit all season. Every one of those would suddenly become a much better player if they'd been injured and we're so unlucky boo hoo. I can guarantee if Abel had dislocated his knee on his debut everyone would be going on about how unlucky we've been with injuries and if only he'd been fit....
Just like his last full Premier League season with Norwich you mean? And I dont care if he got PotY, they were relegated with him as integral part of the team.
Completely debatable. I'd have had Hooper and Redmond in a heartbeat. And anyway, we were talking about the impact of Snodgrass if he'd been fit and how this one superhuman player being available would suddenly make us a mid-table team.
I never suggested he would suddenly make us mid table. I said comfortably safe, which IMO would be about 5 more points than we currently have, which isn't massive when you think about how we have done in some games this season.
Are you ****ing daft Bummer? We've had a shocking season for injuries. How on earth can you say that's a **** excuse? We've missed Snodgrass,Rosenior,Jelavic,Chester,Dawson,Robertson,Brady, the list is endless. Are you seriously saying those injuries should'nt have had an effect on the season?
If we stay up after all the injuries it will be a kind of miracle. Of course there have been some sub par performances and tactics as well which helped let leads slip for instance. But the injuries have been brutal.
Diame has a bad knee if he plays. So we can play him and see t swell up and possibly get worse, or hold him back. So when SB says he could be back, he means we may risk him if we are desperate enough to shag him up for a couple of weeks. Otherwise he is out for the season as it's not going away...
I am concerned about our policy regarding injured players. We often rush them back ahead of schedule, only to then lose them for longer.
Diame won't be as big a loss if Quinn keeps playing the way he has been, the obvious lack of a goal threat is there but with N'doye on song it might make up for it.
This is all just probably a smoke-screen -- gives Liverpool something to ponder, but doubt he'll play any part.
Meyler will be on the bench, presumably at Sagbo's expense. And Robertson will be there in place of Figgy. Sounds like Diame's unlikely to make it.
