Congrats on the 2 - 1 win, a good day in the office plus a happy forum. This next post sums up the feeling on the QPR forum right now
**** me JWM, never thought I'd see you post that. If I could like your post more than once I would, more out of disbelief than anything else
Then maybe you will like this too. I think this is one of his best tracks. He just lays it out to all wannabee emcee's over a sick DJ Premier beat.
KRS is still busting tunes out now and still rips **** out of most cats out there. Perfect voice and flow, you should listen to some of his presentations at university's. The man is intelligent and well read.
I just love his stuff! When I first heard Sound of Da Police I was instantly hooked and I agree the guy is an out and out legend.
If you don't know it you should check Meta-Historical album out. Wu-Tang producer True Master with some dark, banging New York beats and Krs One with some clever lyrics. The skits are interesting once but there's too many on the album for continuous playing, I skip them. I love Krs, a true hip hop head, and by hip hop I mean somebody who's into the whole culture. Graffiti, battle rhymes etc. I'm always taking photos of graf on the side of trains but sadly San Diego does not have a strong graf scene. Amsterdam was the best and most prolific graf I've seen. All along the metro lines and around building sites which were always enclosed with large chipboard panels and artists were allowed to do fantastic full size pieces on them. Really bold styles. The great thing about Krs and others like Guru is that they are always well pronounced and clear with their rhymes and they don't feel the need to cram every verse with cuss words. I've got Geto Boys for that Here's a nice technical track off the album, murda on the mic
This one is my favourite out of the four Jazzmatazz albums but they are all worth a listen. Great horn too.
