Quite agree with you. Just giving another example of not using the English words. People complain about the price of football yet others are willing to pay £150 to see some cars whizzing by..
I might be wrong and I'm at danger by not googling but I'm pretty sure gros is fat. Edit - yep I was wrong. Gras is fat as in Fat Tuesday. You live and you learn, to google that is.
Gros et gras were often bandied about at people at school. The more intellectual ones insulted people in Latin or Ancient Greek. We often use interchangeable words to describe size whereas the French are more specific about which terms to use and when.
The council make their money by charging the rides and stalls a fortune to rent a spot, they also make money turning West Park into a car park.
It would be interesting to. See the council issue the figures to show what they make to justify this enormous area being semi derelict for 50 weeks of the year.
Isn't it pretty essential we keep it derelict? Otherwise we wouldn't have a decent car park at the stadium and game day would be a nightmare.
Other teams manage. The best idea of course would be to have a train stop built. Not to mention the area looks like a tip and doesn't give a good impression to visitors.
A train stop would be great, but doesn't help those travelling by car, especially from the west. Maybe a bit of money needs investing to tarmac the place and make it actually look like a car park and not the wasteland it currently is.
At the time of opening it was always referenced that one would be built if we ever got a couple of promotions.....
It would make a lot of sense, not sure how much it would cost though. Direct football trains from Brough, Hessle and Hull would reduce the road traffic on game days significantly.
Anyone in the area of Newbald know which hill they are climbing for KoM? I assumed it was Trundelgate - but looking at route http://letour.yorkshire.com/ & video not so sure now ...
As far as I can see, the route goes past Newbald then turns up the big hill towards Beverley(past Rudston Walk and on to Walkington). http://letour.yorkshire.com/stage-2/map
I can see how this Tour de Yorkshire is nice for Yorkshire but with coverage tucked away on ITV4 almost nobody will see it. British Eurosport 2 are covering it but continental Eurosport aren't.
Why don't you stick to writing your usual crap about football ? You obviously know nothing about cycling.
I think your right, nice Hill Burgate, will be good to see them hammer up it. They then go onto Walkington which will take them about 30 secs to pass through.
