So you're saying that as leader of the opposition he wouldn't have had access to any more information than the rest of the country? You're deluded mate.

And even if he did only know the same about what was really going on as the average bloke down the pub, the million or so who marched against the war and the millions of others up and down the country who knew it was bullshit, and then if he really did believe there were these WMDs that could be deployed within 45 minutes enough to vote in favour of the invasion, with the potential devastation of a country's infrastructure and murder of 100 of thousands of innocent civilians - not to mention the millions injured and displaced as a result of the campaign as a likely consequence, if he really actually believed Saddam Hussein was this bogeyman that was going to come and bomb us, then as decent and honourable man as am sure he was to have his arse well and truly licked by you in the office, I'm afraid he is a mug of the very highest order.

I've never been to Iraq, wouldn't know what a WMD looked like if I saw one, but I was bloody certain there were none of them there, and that it was all phoney bullshit with a more sinister agenda lurking behind it. Anyone with half a brain new that, so either IDS (and dodgy Dave, don't forget he voted for it as well, with the lives of all those 110 of thousands of innocent civilians at stake) is thick and gullible, or he knew what was going on and was up for it. Which one do you reckon it was?

It's certainly not a "twisted version of events", conjecture it may be, but you're certainly not convincing me with any of your arguments against it.

And most of your mates who still work in the Labour Party are mugs of the highest order as well. <ok>

Milliband voted for the invasion so that must make him a Mug! Even more so as he was in Government at the time! <doh>

Hang on just realised neither Miliband or Cameron voted to go to war as they weren't MPs until 2005!

He wasn't even an MP in 2003, let alone in government so he certainly did not vote for it <doh> There you go, more typical Tory lies and twisting the truth to try to win an argument as mentioned by CT just earlier today. Doesn't work so much any more though eh?

I'm no massive fan of Miliband or the current Labour party before you run off with more of your playground horseshit, but Miliband did however help veto the invasion of Syria, the one dodgy Dave (the one who did vote for the Iraq war don't forget) wanted to take us into, which would more than likely have led to the loss of more lives than were originally supposed to have been 'saved' as was the case in Iraq, (the one IDS and dodgy Dave both thought was a good idea).

So Dave has had to make a decision on two wars, whether to be in favour of them or not, and in both instances he's been up for it. Miliband has just one, and he voted against it, which resulted in us not getting involved in another war we can't win (and shouldn't even be bothered trying to) so once again your point doesn't stand up.

Honestly, do you really, actually believe the horseshit you spout most of the time?

Cameron didn't vote for it either because he wasn't an MP in 2003 FFS!

I suppose Labour lies and prevarication are perfectly acceptable when trying to win a debate. <doh>

Red Ed showed his true colours yesterday with his economic illiterate plans for rent controls! Thank god I own my house that's all I can say.

How come it is that you think what Blair did in going to war was wrong yet you say Dave should have jumped straight in to Syria? So if a Labour led Britain goes to war it was terrible (Which I actually fully agree with and is a big part of why I find it hard to trust Labour) but if the current Tory led Britain had of gone into Syria it would have been a good thing? I think the "West" finally realising that they can't just send a few ground troops in, bomb the hell out of some insurgents and claim it as a victory is a great thing.

I digress, because we could all go back over the history of the individual parties and their leaders and pick out where they have wronged the county. Because this happens over and over. Yet rather than question why we're all being lied to you'd rather argue that your particular brand of liars are better than anyone elses.

My only consolation in all of this, I'm 67 later this week, I'm not in the best of health, so if we end up with another 5 years of "ConDemNation" by the time they have completely wiped out all but the multi-millionaire Tory Boys, I'll be dead and buried! <steam>

<doh><doh> Cameron became an MP in 2001 and voted in favour of the invasion of Iraq in 2003 - you might want to check the most basic of facts before you try getting into an argument, or you'll just end up looking an even bigger idiot than you usually do.

The only one peddling lies here is you, same as you always do, muppet <doh>

I repeat, the Tories would have taken us to war in both Iraq and Syria, so for any Tory supporter to use the anti-war stance as a morale highground to attack Labour and their past mistakes is disingenuous at best and shows just how little they can be trusted to tell the truth on anything.

    Here you go...

Fair enough Munky I got it wrong on Cameron and I have to say I'm not his biggest fan but given the choice between him and Milliband I know where my vote will go. For many traditional Tories like me he has deserted us with all these Right On policies aimed at the illiberal left and this is what will cost him at this election. He has spent too much capital on wooing the chattering classes and not enough time applying himself to the core Conservative vote.

Munky you should know you don't have to have the correct facts to be a Conservative

Cameron's positioning is every bit as cynical as his Villa (Or West Ham) supporting is. The gay vote is substantial these days and The Tories have decided that they cannot afford to alien the 10%+ population that the various sexualities comprise..But it's doing the right thing for the wrong reason again.

Er, it was in reply to a post about the Tories getting caught out yet again, catch up eh?

By the way what lies have Labour told during this campaign pray tell? That's at least two corkers from the Tories in the past three days
