Everyone contributed, even if it was by being a part of keeping this board active enough to attract others. The banners are the collective work of fans on here to show respect and gratitude to players past and present. We all own them together.
Just sent a pic of the new flag to a friend and he came back with " waggy looks like a fat Bullard! "
Get them invited onto the pitch just before kick off. one final applause for what they gave us. in fact get one of brownie and Justin Whittle too. And Stu Elliott.
They look pretty good! Out of interest is McShane's just a blank amber flag with his name and legend written on it?
I agree, the flags look great. A combination of stands full of the small flags being waved with "our" banners will be worth seeing. As for McShane... I will leave that to you!
I'm still looking for a volunteer for this, please let me know if you're interested so we can meet before the game
These do look great when still but I cant help but think banners pinned / held up would have a bigger impact than flags waved on a stick. I'm guessing oppo fans wont even know what they are and they just look like slightly plastic fan black and amber flags. I think images on flags only work if they're bloody massive. Sorry if that seems like pissing on a bonfire but do you see what I'm getting at? We're getting there, massive step in the right direction and it's just very minor amends that would make these perfect.
Didn't see new banners tonight, but didn't really take my eyes off the pitch! " in Bruce we trust" was conspicuous by it's absence prior to ko, was it out?
That wasn't out, didn't see the Joyce flag, Chillo and Waggy was in the north stand and I missed City so did get chance to pass the Ashbee one on
I'm gonna need some help/ suggestions on what to do with the Joyce flag. We got there a bit early and tried to display it at the back of South, a few issues: 1: The people around me are not going to get in the spirit or help in anyway - it was up for literally 2 seconds and people were saying "is this going to be up for the whole game?" - what is the matter with our supporters? The sadder thing was i was actually having to explain who Warren Joyce is... 2: It's probably too big to be seen probably just by standing up with it - it really needs to be displayed somewhere - if you are looking at the south stand from the pitch, to the left of the goal right at the back is the metal frame/rig/stand structure where the TV cameras go - do we think it could hang there? If not any other ideas of where we can put it?
