Will do. There are Carrefours in Cyprus but only one in the Turkish side. Don't know if they are mainly food supermarkets or the larger stores with electrical goods. My daughter was in Cyprus 2 weeks ago and had to avoid a Greek stamp in her passport as she has Turkish residency.
It'll be our first time in Cyprus and we're looking forward to it, I'll try to check out Carrefours while we're there, we're going to Protaras, not sure if there's one there but there's sure to be one in Ayia Napa which is about six miles away
I bought a Sony one for about a grand a couple of months ago. I think it's a smart TV or something, ****ed if I know what it does though. Apart from show Emmerdale Farm and Coronation Street.
I had a Panasonic plasma, but it blew up, made one hell of a bang. I got a 50' Samsung to replace it, the picture's excellent, but I only watch Sky on it, I don't know what else it does(other than I never manager to get it to sync with any of the 3D glasses I bought with it).
Lol, unlucky Ben, I can highly recommend this LG 4k ultra HD Smart TV that swf pointed me to, we received it yesterday afternoon and were watching episodes of Vikings on it by yesterday evening that haven't even been shown yet by Sky, streamed through its internet browser. I've also nicked my lads login details for Netflix so that's free...**** you Sky TV! The picture clarity is truly amazing, far better than our old Samsung plasma. Jack's a very happy boy, thanks to swftiger.
Pleased it hasn't disappointed you. Have you tried the voice activation on the magic wand(remote)? I did find the mw fiddly for using on the internet so bought a wireless keyboard which makes it far easier. Enjoy your viewing.
Thanks very much, and for the recommendation of the TV. Not tried the voice activation yet but I will, and I'll probably end up getting a wireless keyboard. Thanks again
Ours that conked out was also a Samsung, they must not like this time of year. Nipped to Currys & got a Sony Bravia Smart one. Thinking of dumping sky myself now, you've started something.
I'd love to drop sky but me and the witch watch loads of box sets and series on SyFy, Atlantic and FX, plus films.
I've always wondered what would happen to Sky if they lost the Premier League rights. It seems there whole business model is built on it.
Vikings is on the history channel, Game of Thrones is on Sky Atlantic, I've watched Both on the new TV and not through Sky, you can either stream it if you have good internet speed or you can download it on to a memory stick then simply plug it into one of the USB ports and play it from there, and you can get episodes that aren't even available yet on Sky! Dump 'em Happy, you know it makes sense.
