As on of life's pessimists i want to wait till we have enough points to stay up and will take it from there. Oh, and if you se m start to tip against us in th predictions league it will be bcause i don't want to jinx them!
Where do I think we will finnish? well, I hope Beppe can cut the mustard but If Im honest Im not sure on him and I think before the season starts he is probably our weak link. The squad should certainly be strong enough to ask most teams questions this season but I fear they may not be given the right tactics to be ultimately succesful. So like many on here who say mid-table I would say top ten at best. If Beppe gets off to a bad start then I would say bring back Malky!!!. why? well he is still locally based, is available, knows what the Championship is all about and he will also know we now have owners who know about football and will have seen what they have done for Watford. We have strengthened the squad with more experienced Championship footballers to last year and I feel if we do need a change of manager one who has Championship experience is a must for the Pozzo's to deliver their plan of promotion.
Guardian this morning predicts us taking 4th place. Ho-hum. Shall I start worrying yet or leave it a week or two?
Good point about late goals and if we stop them we could do well indeed. Paredes was very good vs Bolton and not sure why Dyer dived off down the tunnel at full time. Injured maybe?
If we can somehow bottle Sean Dyche's effect on the team , added to the squad depth and quality (letter clearly on display yesterday), then barring really bad luck (phantom goals, weird foot injuries etc) we will go up auto.
We have never finished higher than second in either the Football League or the second tier. It is time that changed.
