Well done , CR! Made the point that the ref made a bad mistake and cost us the game, but didn't do what Mourinho, et. al. would have said.
He looked gutted, but kept it dignified.
I, on the other hand, am not a manager and can say: You ****ing ****er, ****, arsehole, incompetent, dickhead, tosser, scum, **** ref, ****-off!

Can't imagine Rob Green going up to a penalty taker to put them off

If we could pull off a draw against Chelsea and beat Newcastle we'll go ahead of them on goal difference and as you say drop them right in the mix. I think it's al over for Burnley but for QPR youre still in touch and there's strange results at this time of year. Glad man city didn't mess up v Villa just now

Ramsey had an absolute nightmare today I'm afraid!!

To pick such a negative line up in a game that we had to win was nothing short of criminal.
I can understand Hill playing, as West Ham are a big, powerful side at set pieces etc, but to play four centre backs across the back four and have no attacking fullbacks or any threat at all down the left was every bit as clueless as anything Redknapp did.

After 94 minutes, we still had both Henry and Sandro on the pitch, while both Taarabt and Kranjcar were sat on the bench. Ludicrous in the extreme and Ransey is looking well out of his depth.

Villa were robbed at the end, should have had a penalty just before City got their winner, yet another crap decision in favour of the big teams...

Thankfully someone has articulated exactly what I was thinking. What the hell was he thinking. When I saw the team it had nil-all written all over it.

We had to gamble today and go for the three points, as no points and 1 point were no good. We set up the same as we did against Chelsea and that is unforgivable.

Hull players certainly got the message today at Palace. I wonder second time round if we now have those salary clauses in place?

Steve Bruce: Hull manager says players' wages will be cut with drop
Hull players will take a wage cut of up to 50% if the club is relegated from the Premier League this season, says manager Steve Bruce.

Bruce's side are 17th in the Premier League with six games left and out of the relegation zone by just one goal.

"The club has a strict policy that if we do get relegated then we don't fall into drastic times," Bruce said.

"Everybody concerned takes a huge reduction in salary, and most players take a 40% or 50% reduction."

Hull have to play four of the top six in their run-in - Liverpool, Arsenal, Tottenham and Manchester United.

They travel to Crystal Palace on Saturday (15:00 BST) under increasing pressure from Leicester, who have won three games in a row to pull level on points with the Tigers.

Bruce said Hull had made "sensible provisions" in case of relegation.

He added: "We've worked so hard to get in the league and then stay here last year, and the players realise the situation we are in."

PL keepers generally make at least a couple of great saves a match. Their Keeper dId today. Apart from his 2 good saves Green made endless mistakes that could easily have done us like the last game. McCarthy should get a chance.

A tad unfair I know but Charlie's penalty misses have been costly. We'd be 3 points better off but more importantly Hull would be 2 points worse off and in the bottom 3 instead of us. but there are hundreds of fine margin moments in a season so shouldn't really boil it down to the missed pens. There's the late goals conceded, poor refereeing and poor team selections to factor in as well.

Without Charlie we'd be dead and buried, at least he's got the balls to take them...

He fell over about every time he tried to kick first half, or so it seemed. Luckily he was not under pressure when it happened. When he was he did better.. Also at least twice he went yards out of his box, once right to the sideline to clear, and then ran back to goal without looking back. It seemed unnecessary, but maybe he was more scared of Dunne's speed and sharpness 1st half than I was. I thought Green looked very nervy most of the 1st half.

Agree, also without Rob Green we'd be dead & buried. Makes me sick the amount of stick he gets on this forum.

If anything that photo condemns him. I thought it was a clear goal but it looks like the Goalkeeper had both hands around the ball in that picture. If Caulker knocked it out of his hands then unfortunately its a free out.

I didn't have a good view from where I sit, but having seen it on MOTD it looked like a fair challenge.

They didn't even bother to include it in the analysis!
