You lot are probably better off now if we win games with us being able to bring Newcastle into the mix next week and still have Sunderland to play
Nice solid kick in the n__ts for Villa - won't have broken the camel's back but it will sure have weakened it.
If I've got this right, McCormack - who scored a late winner to help prevent Watford from going up (and help take us up) two years ago, has scored a late winner to send Watford up. Madness in the Championship it really is.
That is right but I don't know if that came before or after the Rotherham equaliser. Edit: 90+4 vs 86' so I guess he clinched it for them (technically he didn't send us up, he just made it safer as they needed to score twice afterwards)
That's why I put helped. It's yet another ridiculous turn of events in the Championship in the last few years, two late goals in different games sending them up, and one coming from Boro sending their keeper up when they weren't even losing, and McCormack being the one to score it is an incredible twist. Watford have three quality strikers in Deeney, Ighalo and Vydra. Be interesting to see how they do in the PL.
Vydra was pants for WBA when he went there so not sure how he'll find the PL. Maybe with a more familiar team at Watford he'll do better, who knows.
