I guess that's the end of that hope. I don't think we ever came from behind to win when CH was our manager. Did we? The Everton game possibly?
The result of this match was never in question let's be honest, Hughton will be sacked before Christmas and that will be his managerial career over. No more than he deserves either. Shame because he is a very nice man
Our only hope was 0-0, Watford get desperate, then Brighton sneak a goal somehow. Now they're behind, there's no chance. Hughton hasn't a clue how to set up a team to come from behind. At least we can just be grateful that he isn't our manager any more.
A goal down Hughton will probably bring on a striker 89 mins , terrible dull manager lovely man though as KIO mentioned.
Craig Mackail-Smith has given them a bit of impetus. Before they had no hope, this last couple of minutes they've found a few openings.
I bet afterwards he will say something like "we were getting into some good areas" And "With the quality that Watford have............"
That was a goal for Brighton if only their pitch wasn't so terrible that the ball completely changed direction. And a clear penalty for that pullback by the Watford CB. Deeney - horrible, horrible individual but he's been superb.
Watford really have been so lucky this season - a bit like us during the Lambert promotion. I think they will struggle big time next year. They really are not very good.
I disagree, I'm afraid . Yes, it's increasingly likely, but since losing to Boro our best hope has always been that Bournemouth slip up (and Boro too). I don't think much has changed there.
Guess so. We need Boro not to win and then Bournemouth to lose on Monday. Not likely. Alternatively we need everyone to win and then everyone to collapse on the final day due to pressure (except for City, of course). Not likely either.
Sour grapes, the pressure is there for everybody but 9 unbeaten on the road and 16 from last 18 points in total is not lucky. Luck was your man cheating for a penalty at the Vic and getting it, regardless that you were the better team on the day.
