We've somehow become the team that a Poch team would love to play against. Pressuring our defence is very fruitful. Wonder if building a team around the concept that defenders are a bit of a liability on the ball might tend to breed uncertainty in your own defenders. Mostly kidding but not entirely.
Agreed. Chadli has shown a little wide play but Lamela constantly cuts in or just jogs around the inside right. He's totally ineffective. Townsend will be on soon for sure.
They look likely to get a second...we are working hard but unless we push them back they are going to continue to boss this match
I was about to make a Coco the Clown comment... We're playing some nice, intricate stuff to get through the midfield at times but it hasn't led to an awful lot yet. Both goals have been messy and have had slices of good fortune about them so it's parity restored in more ways than one.
The role he played in the NLD For some reason Chrome doesn't recognise that, when I highlight text and start typing, that means I'd like the original text to go away.
I think we are playing really well. Their goal was a foul and we have been on top. Not much of a threat but the better team. It is their home ground.
Sorry I don't agree, Lamela was in the right place at the right time and has actually has a good game playing in his best position as PNP has pointed out many times.
Why is it a fluke? Kane got a touch and Lamela got in front of his defender. Not goal of the month, but decent.
We've defended the pace of Mane pretty well with the offside trap, although his presence does worry me. We've had some promising buildup play but we need to make it translate into more chances on goal. Very well balanced game on a knife edge going into the second half.
