You need a novelty act in every great event! Joking apart I like people's passion for these things. When I did a walk a couple of years ago I was walking beside 2 women doing it for Save the Trees and a few for Battersea Cats and Dogs Home - now that's showing some conviction for your beliefs
It was brilliant . I am a cruel bastard though - I giggled when someone doing it for Help for Heroes sprained his ankle
Speaking as a person who has run 17 marathons kudos to those who do them in fancy dress. Making a **** of yourself for 26 miles takes some bottle.
Done a 100k walk and 3 peaks and have to agree. Hard enough without dressing like a piece of household furniture
