You get a 9 month contract with a company, they will pay you for 9 months not 12. It's that simple!

10 takehome would mean what, 17m before tax? So it could be fair to assume 13m before tax them, he is being paid for the year mate even if his contract ends in the end of may he'll be paid for the summer too. I've been paid beyond the end of a contract because it was negotiated tho not for 13m <laugh>

Shteve, I am a contractor, and that is bollocks. I can guarantee you that is not true at all.

You've been paid beyond the end of a contract? So you agreed a contract time period and once that had expired they just carried on paying you despite the fact that you didn't have a contract with them and weren't doing any work for them?

    No, you don't understand lad.

I have signed a 1 year contract and finshed the work in 10 months and got the remaining two months when It was finished.

Not only that but I have negotiated other expenses on top of the salary which are part of the contract worth even if not in the monthly salary, like an apartment lease for a year for example worth 12k

So, Falcao could indeed have negotiated a contract for 12 months and leaves in may and gets the rest into his account in a lump sum plus other payments by the club that are not counted in his salary. Entirely possible, that's all I am saying

Sisu I hire contractors on a regular basis. If I give them a 3 month contract I pay them for 3 months. If we have to extend the contract then we agree a revised time frame. Alternatively we agree a fixed price contract with a view to getting a job done inside a certain time frame. If they finish early good for them (and me!), if they finish late there are financial penalties for them.

Falcao can't finish his job with United early (he can't finish at all but that's another story) and once the loan period is over he will be sent back to Monaco. the Glazers won't be paying him any extra money or bonuses!

What you do with your contractors is irrelevant and a false argument. You're not the club and the contractors are not Falcao

Just as I say whatever I negotiate is nothing to do with Falcao or United.

    All speculation

If he asked for 10m after tax, I'd say he got 7 after tax

ROFL, there could be appearance bonuses, goal bonuses(scoff) and the like too. All outside of his 265k a week

United could be paying for his nice apartment and even leasing a car for him. All guesses of course but entirely possible

So the total worth of his contract, salary and extras could be indeed 24m (including loan fee to monaco) <yikes>

    5m a goal:bandit:

As I said, Falcao can't finish his work with United early as the season has defined dates so what you're saying is irrelevant to the discussion about his loan deal. Why would it be a 12 month loan to include June, July and August? So he can be paid to do pre-season with United before being sent back to Monaco. No chance!

I agree, you started down that road by talking about your contracts, companies paying people for 12 months even if they left after 9 months (which would happen on a contract job if the work was finished early but it would not happen if you were PAYE and left the company!) etc!

They could be paying Brendan Rodgers' wages. I hope they agree to keep paying them so he can stay another season. Pure speculation but possible nonetheless.

You pay a loan contract only between the periods specified. Season long loans tend to be from a specified start date until the day after the last game of the season. Exact dates are not used due to the unpredictability of the final game (cup games etc).

As usual, Sisu is desperately trying to show how Falcao earns half a million plus a week. It is of course, nonsense but hes been trying for months to make it add up.

Possibly in some alternate universe maybe, poor analogy. Very poor.

It's not unheard of for those sorts of extras to be negotiated Shteve.
You're just refusing to be leive it possible because 5m per goal, actually 6m per goal.

    But most likely 5.

Falcao negotiated 13. something million for the duration of his United contract plus 6m fee and a few extras, some sources say 20m for the contract, some say 24m

So in the interests of fairness, lets say 22m or more accurately 5.5 million pounds per goal <laugh>

Half a million a week? UIR show up and immediately claims to know the deatails of the contract and says I am saying half a mil a week<laugh>
    #hyperbole

The sad truth is failcao's been an expensive disaster. Worse than Balotelli <ok>

All sources put it between 20m and 24m. So, at best its 5 million quid a goal which is the root of all of this.<laugh>

Why not just bun the ****ing money like <laugh>

All sources? Not one of them has any idea because no wages are released to the press.

Falcao himself has stated the reports are wrong and he earns nowhere near that at United. He probably knows more than the Daily Rag.

Not that it matters. Hes been poor. Whether he cost a quid or a billion.

Seriously tho.. <laugh> even 265k for 9 months is 10m, plus 6m loan fee is still 4m per goal like.

    That's best case scenario.<ok>

What do you get for 265k these days

Well you get a balotelli for about 4milliom a goal. 16million if you count only league goals.

We can send falcao back. You need to find a buyer for Balotelli yet <laugh>

Anyway, has rodgers said anything stupid since the thread started?
