If only the EU was just simply a single market as was promised when the British electorate voted in it's favour ? Quite simply it has become a European super state where the Germans call all the shots, more and powers will be taken from individual member states until all laws and legislation are put in place by un-elected arsehole beaurocrats in Brussels. Adolf has got his wish after all and he needn't have caused death and suffering to so many millions ! Ironically, when the ONE AND ONLY referendum on Europe was held it was the Labour Party who were vehemently against it, now they just want us to be lap dogs to the rest of Europe. Churchill must be turning in his grave and so must those who fought so bravely for this nation's freedom. It is total bollocks to suggest that we couldn't survive outside of Europe and IF (which I doubt) we are given a vote on leaving the EU I for one will vote to do so. Europe needs the UK more than the UK needs Europe.
If you know people involved in the NHS then you will know that it has worsened over the last five years without any shadow of a doubt. What do you expect when you have a government comprised of people who don't rely on it for themselves and their families but simply pay to queue jump. With our money incidentally.
To be honest, I'm a bit 'polled out' (I realise I'm guilty of posting polls on here as well). Can we have a break from polls for a bit?
Oh dear can't you do better than that!! Very high on rhetoric but a bit misleading on fact. How can you say we did not realise what we were joining when the original treaty of membership in place long before we joined and still in force today clearly refers to ' the eventual political and monetary unification of Europe ' Although I am now very pro-european it was that objective that made me vote against joining and in favour of coming out when we had the second chance. What have Germany done that makes you say that they ' call the shots ' or is that another generalisation unsupported by facts. Labour might have changed their view on that held 40 years ago but have remained consistent ever since. What about the Tories? What about reminding us that it was they who signed the major treaties that have moved us towards unification? What about reminding us of how split they have been on the subject? Sometimes they are in - sometimes they are out - in out in out and now Cameron wants to shake it all about. No ideas forthcoming on what he expects to renegotiate - just another ploy to hold his party together. We know that if all he can renegotiate is the colour scheme of the gents toilet he will, should a referendum follow, recommend we stay in. Of course we can survive outside Europe but at what cost especially in jobs. Scotland could have survived a vote for independence but we all know that all their major industries, including their own bank, would have moved South of the border. The same applies to us leaving Europe. Are you aware of how much we rely on the City of London especially as the rest of the world recognise us as the financial capital of Europe. So we go to Europe and say ' we have voted to leave your Club, we don't want to pay our subs anymore but presumably you have no objection to us keeping all the club benefits and are prepared to leave the massive income generated by being the financial capital of Europe in London ' Yeah right!!!
Even better than that. It was on behalf of the Daily Fail - presumably from a random sample of voters in Kensington. Can't imagine why Warky didn't mention 2 other polls out today putting Labour in the lead
When it comes to the crunch how can anybody vote for milliband and Balls? They failed us before and would do again.
I have to correct you there, Milliband has NEVER been Prime minister, Balls has NEVER been Chancellor, however, Cameron and Osbourne have been shafting us for the past 5 years!
It's difficult for the Tories to accept that the last Labour Government was doing quite well until we all got shafted by the banks. Remember when Gordon Brown was Chancellor of the Exchequer and the Tories used to moan that he was being too prudent?
Four polls out at the same time. As well as Com Res we had Survation also showing a 4% Tory Lead. But Panelbase showed a three point Labour lead YouGov showed a two point lead for Labour. Interestingly JWM only chose to quote one rather than all four, which as a whole show an avergae Tory lead of 0.75%.
They were both cabinet members who left office having spent all of our money. It happens every time after Labour have been in government. They are clueless and incompetent regarding fiscal policies.
No doubt you have evidence to support this? As I recall, the recession was caused by the banks - it was a worldwide crash - and I don't recall Brown being in charge of the rest of the world. Nor do I recall the Tory party objecting to the spending plans of Labour - in fact they voted in favour of them. The only previous crashes I recall were when Lawson cocked up and Heath put us on a 3 day work - are you rewriting history by suggesting they were Labour?
You survived didn't you, I'd say that is considerably worse than dying. Think yourself lucky you live in a country that can even fit a pacemaker. Think yourself lucky you live in a country that allowed you to have the money to pay for a pacemaker. My father in law came over from Ghana had a check up and had the same thing. Cost £25,000 Luckily his work health insurance covered it.
