hahahaha, Brendan's served up a beauty there.

Maybe astro is Brendan? They both appear to share similar delusional traits...........

Once 4th place is mathematically out of reach, he'll start launching players under the bus

Every time he opens his mouth he irrittates people. Even when he had this good run he had some good luck like all teams do. It was not as if he had pulverised teams. He was lucky against the Saints and the Swans. With better finishing they would have ended that run and not the mancs.

I also note that not even the very best managers over the years and who have won many trophies: Pep, Cruyff, Ancelotti, Ferguson, Shankly, Wenger, Mourinho and others have ever had the arrogance to call themselves a "tactical genius". Good managers do not let their teams crumble in big important matches and then blame the players. It's happened too many times to say it is bad luck or accidental.

Well. Brendan let me be absolutely honest with you: "You have never been a tactical genius now or in the past. Whoever told you that needs to refund you your money."

4th place not mathematically out of reach. One thing for sure, going to finish above Roberto Martinez.<doh>

    5th Liverpool Points=57. Goal difference +11
    12th Everton Points-41. Goal difference -2
Better than Roberto Martinez any where, any time<ok>

With Rodgers being compared to Ricky Gervais character David Brent at times it would be odd if we replaced him with a Stephen Merchant lookalike.

I support Rodgers on that statement. Before we played United there were like 3 articles on the daily fail showing an in depth analysis into how Rodgers has tactically changed Liverpool brilliantly

3 losses later articles are now suggesting he is out of his depth and is a failure. In my opinion he is just having a go at the fickle nature of fans and press alike. All I am seeing is some fans wanting to see it as he is calling himself a tactical genius

  6. Exactly. Three games ago he was a tactical genius, now he's on the verge of the sack <laugh> #ficklefuckers

How good a manger he is will be debated and you are right we shouldn't be so quick to dismiss him as he is still the manager and who knows, with a couple of signings we may fire on all cylinders and be very good. However he should just shut up about it and concentrate on the job ahead instead of all these meaningless soundbites.

Three games is a long time in football. Enough time to be outed and found not to be a tactical genius <laugh>

Just ignore the meangingless soundbites Luv, they are superficial. I don't even watch his post match intervews, have seen 1 all season.

What is cringey is his interview on sterling <laugh> he talks about Sterling like he's a 6 year old, his 6 year old <laugh> Surely that must piss Sterling off, it would piss me off.

No probs with his management just his transfers.

Watching the to and fro of other's opinions from #taticalgenius to #tacticalnumpty is a bit funny and more than a little fickle.
You can't call him one then the other, or am I wrong, can he be both? :D

He used the words tactical genius tongue in cheek. Wasn't calling himself one.

He he was probably asked a leading question, one which the only normal answer would be no I think I'm best man for the job.

If your boss at work asked you, do you think you can still take this job on and progress, you're not going to say no boss, I think there are 4 others better suited. You'd say we boss I'm the best man for the job... Heck we say that in interviews when applyin for new jobs all the time when we have no idea if we are or not.

People need to not worry about what is being said, it's only there to fill columns, as long as the team progresses then makes **** all difference. Rather the manager think he's beds man for the job than think there are others who can do a better job b

  14. I didn't say tactical genius because Brod used those words, I said it because that's the label he was given after switching things around at HT against Swansea

PS...I said and continue to say I'm not the best manager my organisation could have #honestyisbetterthanbullshit :)

Even if he was taking the mick out of others for being fickle, lets look at what he said or implied.

He said "Very much so. I don’t think there is anyone better". How does he know that? Are people irreplaceable in their jobs? No. And Brendan is not either and he is not for sure the "best man for the job as Liverpool manager". His coaching ability is second to none? His man management skills? his grasp of the club's needs ?

  19. So what would you have like to hear him say? And 'nothing' isn't allowed <laugh>

Surely it's got to be seen as a good thing that he has such confidence in his own abilities? Surely that's an attribute every manager needs along with stubbornness and arrogance to certain extents?

I said ONCE it's out of reach mate. <ok>

& given he's spent over £200m he damn well should be ahead of Martinez at present.
