The unknowable thing is would what happened to Torres at Chelsea have happened if he stayed with us. We'll never know. But we probs wouldn't have got Vampiro if he stayed so that was worth selling him

Fair enough that is hyperbole - but you have accused me at least twice (once today, once on some other thread cannot be arsed to look into). I posted the source, its the BBC sports rolling news. I'm sure Torres was leaving as part of getting Suarez due to our (ongoing) policy of 'only one star player plus Gerrard at the club at any one time' Set to change now though to... 'no star players and no Gerrard at any one time'

OK I watched that and he said Gerrard made him great, Gerrard said just go you have nothng to prove when Torres decided to leave. he was supporting Torres decision. In case you didn't realise, why would you, Torres also made Gerrard look good. Gerrard has never looked as good since Torres was banging them in The OP is pure bollocks
