It's nice of Michael Laudrup to say these things, but this thread is gonna turn into another **** fight isn't it ?
Not necessarily. It hasn't so far. Perhaps those who would normally seek to create a hostile environment have learned some humility and common sense as a result of Laudrup's positive remarks. One can but hope.
Is there a piece missing from the Mirror story? Because in the link I've got, Laudrup isn't quoted as saying anything like the headline, "Garry Monk has changed Swansea's style for the better says former boss Michael Laudrup". Please point out my error as it would be nice to see the great man offering praise to Monk.
Looks like Stereo was wrong. Then again, hasn't Dai buggered off the USA so hasn't seen the thread yet?
Strange timing for a USA trip. Is he throwing his hat in the ring for 2016,alongside Hilary? Lining up a Lewinski,or two?
As a footballer yes, as a gentleman yes, as a manager NO!................. Garry Monk receiving praise? Long may it continue, most talented young manager in the Premier league..........
"Tidy" article although I'm not sure about using the word "superb" as The Mirror did in the opening sentence of the report. "Garry Monk's superb first season in charge of Swansea has won praise frompredecessor Michael Laudrup." Encouraging - yes Better than expected - yes Good - yes Superb - no, not in my opinion. If we were where Southampton have been all season and had reached a Wembley final (not necessarily winning it) - then that would have been an outstanding and superb season.
I'm still looking for the bit where Laudrup says there has been an improvement. He says, "They have changed a little, a lot of the players I brought are not there anymore and their style has changed a little," "They have had a very good season in the Premier League. I have to say I am happy for that." What he doesn't say is there has been a change for the 'better'.
