Chelsea followers dominate Latin America, Liverpool England, United Asia, Arsenal Europe. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...r-club-globe-according-Twitter-followers.html
this site really needs to add a sarcasm smiley, thanks for pointing it out but i am aware of the quality reporting of the daily fail it makes a change from reading their quality reporting on which Saints player is the next to be sold this summer.
Bizarre that we have so many fans in Latin America. Not606 is blocked too, you're off to Qincheng Prison
So Liverpool fand dominate Australia> That explains the epidemic of car theft and break and enters in my neighbourhood !!
Too many of them to fit in London. A more accurate statement would be "most people from London are United fans"
The Twitter account only confirms my own findings when I visited Brazil in September 2012 and observed more people wearing Chelsea shirts than any other PL team. In terms of worldwide popularity Barca and Real must be streets ahead of anyone else. I imagine Manchester United fans might dispute that but how can they don't have players comparable to either Real, Barca or Bayern for that matter and it is the players in these clubs that football supporters in Africa, the Americas and Asia want to support.
History Lesson Time: Chelsea famously toured in South America in 1929. It was hugely successful and since generations of fans have been loyal Chelsea supporters. In much the same way the second largest concentration of Welsh speakers is in Patagonia, descendants of Carmarthenshire cattle drovers (cowboys) who incidentally created the World's first ever bank in West Wales.
