After reading about Pep's fall out and resignation with the Bayern Dr i wondered if anyone has had any alternative therapy??
    Seem this Dr recommends:
"Hans-Wilhelm Muller-Wohlfahrt has often courted controversy with his methods.

He claims that a substance called Hyalart, which is extracted from the crest of cockerels, helps lubricate knee injuries and take away pain.

He also swears by Actovegin, an amino acid preparation derived from calves' blood.

In 2009, he prescribed more than 50 injections of goat's blood to St Johnstone striker Peter MacDonald for his hamstring injury.

Among those to have been treated by him are Ronaldo, Usain Bolt, Michael Owen and Jose Maria Olazabal.

Muller-Wohlfahrt claims to have administered more than one million injections, at least half of which have been to athletes."

I suppose anyone who's had an overnight stay in a British hospital will probably have had a male nurses cock rubbed against him.......

I had some Reiki once and it was nice, laid out on a bed, candles, incense, relaxing music. The woman said are you getting it? All i was getting was a hard on!!

Had some Acpuncture but that did nowt for me.

    Anyone else?

Acupuncture's brilliant, done properly it definitely works. I used to have major problems with my knees, I couldn't even kneel down, but a few visits to a little man in Shatin and I've been right as rain ever since.

My chiro has worked on my back for years now! I've heard too many bad stories about back surgery that I've always preferred to go to him and he straightens me up! But it's never a cure just easing pressure on nerves for a while, im usually there about 3/4 times a year.

    For once Madge WE AGREE!
I had chronic back pain (only people who have experienced back pain can understand) caused through a prolapsed disc. To say I was in agony would be putting it mildly. When I was able to I went to my local Doctor, a little Chinese man by the name of Ching, for some pain killers and he suggested acupuncture. He could not cure my prolapsed disc (which required surgery later on) but he certainly eased the pain to a bearable level. The "Child-Bride" suffered from migraines and hates needles but she had such a bad session that she agreed to acupuncture (it MUST have been bad) and it cured her migraine. I have recommended acupuncture to many people over the years and only a couple had negative results.
As an aside could I say to anyone suffering back-pain, especially across the hip-pocket down the thigh and into the shin then you have a disc problem which needs professional attention otherwise you will cripple yourself. Doctors can only give you pain killers. Chiropractic can also help if you receive treatment in the early stages. Please don't ignore the symptoms.

I don't want to start a new thread (as Madge said - this isn't Facebook) but some of you may have rello's in the Sydney area here in Oz and may find this interesting:

    http://www.abc.net.au/news/2015-04-...pected-to-bring-gale-force-winds-rain/6410908

Sydney has been hammered by huge storms over the past few days leaving some dead, thousands without power whilst some have lost their homes and entire possessions through gale force winds and ensuing floods:

I avoid all kinds of treatments as far as possible. Hospitals are dangerous places ... you never know what you might get or what dubious treatment you are subjected to.

Having said that, I am not surprised that this Bayern fallout took place where it did. We think of Germans as nuts, bolts, science and technology, but mysticism flourishes there. The danger with alternative treatments is that they quickly lead to mysticism, and in Germany / Austria's case that goes back in modern times to Madam Blavatsky and Rudolf Steiner ... a pair of nutcases in my view. Their potty ideas form the basis of all this bio-dynamic agriculture rubbish, New Age crap and European shamanism. Or what about Theodor Landscheidt?

How on earth does placing stones on a sick person make them better? What good is it that a woman in Daventry hopes I am getting better and is sending me her cosmic energy?

I am all in favour of an open mind, but evidence is paramount. Unfortunately, credible evidence is in short supply when it comes to alternative medicine.

Come to think of it, evidence is in short supply when it comes to 20th / 21st century physics too.

    Best regards from a skeptic.

I'm not sure how it would make a sick person better, but I can see how that would relieve pain and suffering. They just need to be very big stones placed from a great height.

We used to always have a tub of cumfrey ointment, that was used on sprains and joint pain. I was once told that it was used for fixing broken bones in Russia as it fixed the break in three weeks.

My house was without power for 36 hours - I'be never seen weather like it - absolutely crazy!

Best place to be was playing indoor football where there's a hot shower and a beer afterwards - that got me through last night...

There was a cruise ship that wasn't allowed in the harbour - it spent 3 days bobbing around outside Sydney harbour on 10-15 metre waves - a lot of vomit on that ship.....

I would rather do a crab walk over hot coals mixed with broken glass and nails than have acupuncture.

    ****ing weird.

So are dung and wee, but of course, they're not ideal as facial moisturizers.

I tried Reiki a few times. I think your woman practitioner must have got the wrong idea. It's supposed to be with no body contact. I never got a hand job. :(
