I do look on here but not to post only if I am name checked otherwise I don't feel the need to these days. I paid my sincere regards to RBF the other day and that's about it. The only posters that I want to converse with come over to our board so it's all good.
Which you accepted even though you swore you'd never return! Don't you DARE question other's principles when you have none!
And you just remember where you are and how totally unimportant you are, we all expect you to have no principles, you are, after all, a self-confessed Tory!
Yeah so unimportant that you haven't even bothered to reply to my posts! Just get over yourself... Your arrogance knows no bounds. Anyhow enough said you're not worth getting banned over.
Just a couple of things here happening recently that I am disappointed to see, and to be honest, more than a tad pissed off with. First of all, this was a good thread with opinions well put, and yes, even you Monsieur Plum . Since JWM and Guru have had their ban lifted, they have kept their word. Both replied politely, and sincerely on RBF's goodbye thread. JWM was indeed invited to post on the politics thread, and he has done so - keeping to our rules. I have no problems with other fans coming on here and stating their opinions, as long as it is within the rules on our board, and I have to say, JWM and Guru have done exactly that - thank you both of you. To clear up any misunderstanding about a MOD's role, it is down to a mod how he 'polices' his own members on different boards, but in general, most mods - myself included - tend to visit other boards out of curiosity or interest. If there is a problem with one of our own members, then there is a MOD forum where the mods all talk to each other and we try and sort out any problems there, or vis pms. In other words, working as a team. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't, but in general we do try. Mods have even sorted out other mods who have **** stirred on other boards, thinking it was banter, but it was all sorted amicably. Myself as one of the supermods, do tend to visit more boards than the other mods, because once a certain board comes under attach from a spammer or too much bickering and blatant rule breaking, we have to 'jump in' quick to try and sort any hassle out. This normally involves the posting of degrading porn etc. Now I have finished waffling, can we please stop the playground name calling and taunting, and please get back to what I thought was a very good thread. Thanks for reading this squit x
I apologise to you Resurgam for allowing myself to be drawn into this in the first place! Dave and I have a lot of history some good some bad and from now on I shall ignore the idiot.
As the person who started this thread, can I request that the two pages of crap be removed? I have nothing against the Ipswich Two, but this is why I wasn't sad when they were banned for a while - every thread turns into a slanging match/pointless squabble. Then everyone abandons the thread, except for the two people squabbling.
I got to the point that I put them on ignore, but that makes for a very disjointed message board when the majority of it is missing. I do think that they post on here more than most City fans, they seem to have a morbid fascination with us.
I thought this was a pretty good topic so wanted to get my thoughts on it... but see it's gone to another Norwich v Ipswich slanging match.... anyway; I honestly think Norwich, M'boro and Watford would all have a very good chance of staying up. Bournemouth not so; Norwich - you do have a number of Prem class players, and with a manager who knows what he is doing, can get them playing decent stuff. I woud suggest you need more fire power, but don't see why you can't go up. M'boro - very good defensively. Their connection with Chelsea could help and think they'd have money to spend if they go up. Again, need more fire power! B'mouth - I'd say the squad too small so would have to buy a number of players. They have a wealthy owner but how much will he invest to keep them up. Also the beneficiary of a number of penalties and red cards. Not saying whether they were right or wrong... but it is very unlikely they will get anywhere near the decisions! they will fight bravely but can see them really struggling Watford - will obviously have a certain amount of bias, but I believe we have a good chance of staying up. We probably have a couple of palyers that maybe mroe suited to the Prem, but if we can sort out our defence, then think we have a chance. Our owners have already said they have a number of players interested if we do go up and we now seem to have a coach who's tactics suit the team we are playing rather than play one way. He is still learning the English game though and sometimes should accept the draw rather than go for the win! A guy at work has actually made me dislike Norwich a little bit with his real lack of knowledge, but would certainly take an all-yellow top two! Good luck for the last two games
You make some very good points SalisburyKev but my views are affected by a report I read a couple of months ago - which I now can't find - dealing with the outcomes being caused by the new financial rules. The conclusion reached was that whilst most people welcomed the new rules thinking that it would clip the wings of the big boys it is having the reverse effect in that it is the Clubs now ' punching above their weight ' who are being limited the most. The report suggested that, for example, Swansea had to sell Bony to fund their other plans otherwise they could have fallen foul of the new rules. It also mentioned Bournemouth stating that the amount they could spend on fees and wages would be severely limited despite the wealth of the owner. I do not know much about the financial state at Watford but I doubt whether we could now provide the sums of money given to Hughton in our vain attempt to stay up and, bearing in mind how much Gibson has already ploughed into Boro, I wonder how much more he can or would supply. I just feel that as time progresses it is becoming increasingly difficult to go up and stay up.
