Haha I noticed that, he must be thinking it's only a matter of time before they start throwing things at him. I actually feel a bit sorry for them, even when they arrange a boycott there's still 47,000 tipping up, they're glutton for punishment, I don't think I could show that same level of commitment to something so ****.

You need to win, simple as that, no point sugar coating it, you're running out of games. You've probably got a bit more fight in you than they have, if you score first I can see you winning games, I can't say the same for them.

<laugh> I am a negative person hence I don't think we are safe. However if I look at this logically I can't see how Leicester, Burnley, Hull and yourselves all overtaking us. Leicester are probably the only ones likely to!

Aye QWAP, unfortunately for us you are right, we however are right in the mire. Cannot believe we are yet again in this position after all that went on last season and that you still have the cockney Mafia running your club.
It's a fekin disgrace and both sets of fans deserve far better, but instead we seem to be set up as laughing stocks for the media and the rest of the league, I am still in shock after the debacle of the Palace match

    Why the need for photoshop?

As a neutral with a long memory, all this Toon hype doesn't fool me. The year before Keegan arrived, Newcastle brought about 500 fans to Fratton park. Micky Quinn had a nasty incident with the post and I think we won 3-1. Next season I went up there, we took maybe 300 up there and St James' had about 17000 for the game not a great atmos, pretty standard support we lost about 3-1 I think.

Fast forward to the end of that season, we played them not long after Keegan's arrival and all of a sudden there's about 4000 of them giving it the big one in the pubs about how the toon goes everywhere and their amazing support blah blah blah. Over 20 years they've managed to build up this reputation , that they have always had this support and it's not true.

Every club has a hardcore that go always, no matter what and about the same amount that turn up only when success rears it's lovely head.

We get 40000 every home game - now - but I remember being one of around 12000 in Roker Park playing in the old second division. Or one of around 6000 against Rotherham in the Freight Rover trophy or whatever it was/is! I know for certin that we haven't "always" had this amount of fans - but I'm also glad that we are able to attract this amount even though we are woeful - imagine what it'd be like if we were good!!

This is the best you've had it since 1973!! With the right investment (whatever that means nowadays) you should be a mid table side with the odd cup run!

Stoke had Pulis, Swansea have had a stream of very good managers, Southampton charged people ott for their players and brought better ones in and West Ham have the pull of London.

Neither us nor yourselves have had or done either of those things.
