I think Pako's influence is overstated as Rafa still managed to do well in his abscence. I watch some Napoli games and they are better on the eye than Liverpool when rafa was here. Klopp for some reason gets an easier ride due to his charisma and charm. I think he is a good coach but not better than Rafa

Rafa has underperformed at Napoli given what he has spent IMO.

Both are talented managers, no doubt. But I think Klopp is where Rafa was when he was at Valencia. Different styles but big impacts.

Rafa is certainly not a journey man. That was a careless thoughtless comment who ever said it
I said he'd become a journey man, and given he's managed 4 clubs since the start of 2010 and that'll become 5 in the summer, I reckon I'm right.

In fact looking back at his entire career, I might have been generous with the 'become' as he's managed 10 clubs (soon to be 11) in 22 years.....The longest he stayed anywhere was Anfield

I was waiting for you to pick up on that yesterday :D Finally <laugh>

86 to 94
RM youth coach
2 league titles with Castilla B
1 league title with Madrid Youth B
2 Spanish u19 cups
1 National u19s league title

Moves on and goes through 5? jobs in 6 years, this was his breakout on his own, and that accounts for 5of the 11 jobs add Chelsea not being a job, that's 6 jobs out of your 11. Starts to look different now doesn't it when you break it down.

Valencia 01 -04
2 la liga title with Valencia and a EL trophy (He got cheaped out on funds even after winning a UEFA and 2 La Liga's in three years) You know well that you need money to compete with Real and Barca. He fell out and moved on.

Liverpool 04 - 2010
2 CLs in three years and 4 points off the PL, winning 1 CL
2008\09 his plans came together, (Again gets cheaped out and I detailed all of that in an earlier post in this thread as to why he got screwed for money H&G were a disaster) Sacked.

Chelsea Interim job. Did a good job given the circumstances.
Won the EL with Chelsea and secured 3rd under the conditions there with only 6 months to do the job, a partisan team and fanbase for obvious reasons

Milan didn't go well for him (It happens) Nothing more to be said on that other than he's a completely different manager in Style to Mourinho and the changes were too much PLUS the clear animosity between Jose and Rafa. Was always going to be a disaster.

Napoli, I got no idea how things are going there, or what the story is.

So, the only part of his career that can be described as "journeyman", is the first 6 years after leaving his successful posts as Madrid Youth coach where he moved around a bunch of non event Spanish clubs with no money while he learned the job.

4 jobs in the last 14 years.. plus a few months at Chelsea as interim. Journeyman.. nope sorry

you're welcome
<ok>

Maybe it's your posts that are only fit to line the bottom of hamster cages after all :bandit:

EDIT: the only reason Benitez has so much experience for his age is cos he got into management at 26.

So come this summer he'll have had 5 jobs in 5 years and that isn't the stat of a journeyman, Ok, gotcha <ok>

Everyday is an education on here

<laugh>

What's funny like? Your post? It's not, just thought I'd let you know <ok>

As usual, when you have no clue but go running off your mouth, you ignore the post that shows that and continue posting pointless posts in your quest to delude yourself into thinking you are right.

I think I've posted enough to show Rafa is not a journeyman and is a successful manager.

One thing we all know about you is you ****ing hate being proven wrong, so you try resolve the debate into a load of tosh smart ass comments to hide the fact you've been proven wrong
<laugh>

Let me show you my workings out, as your little brain appears to have gone into [HASHTAG]#meltdown[/HASHTAG]

As Big Ben struck on the 1st Jan 2010 he was the manager of;

1. Liverpool

He left that summer and went to;

2. Inter Milan

He spent 6 months there got the push and went to;

3. Chelsea (interim, journeyman category by definition btw)

He finshed there and went to;

4. Napoli

He's fallen out with them and is leaving in the summer, when he will join

5. AN other

So within 5 calendar years, he'll have been the manager of 5 football clubs.....that's the CV of a man who's become a journeyman.

Note: no mention of his success or otherwise, merely his longevity in the seat.

Now feel free to eat **** :)

if you are going to include liverpool in your fiction then you MUST include the years he was there. So starting from 2010 is how you diddle the numbers lad, and you've been found out

He joined Liverpool in 04
He took Chelea on in a temporary capacity for a few months so you include that in your false narrative.

so, Liverpool, Inter Napoli were his only full time jobs since 2004, 3 multi year contracts in 11 years
<ok>

Ok if it makes you feel better I'll exclude Liverpool, so 4 jobs in 5 years come this summer, including 2 of those 5 years on the social <ok>

You've ignord this tobes why?

_______
& chelsea for a few months as interim

Rafa did sign his contract with Liverpool in 2004 after all. You start his Liverpool spell in 2010? Handy isn't, you "disappear" 6 years.

I said Ok we'll exclude Liverpool, so since he's left Liverpool, clear enough for you?

Since the summer of 2010 - he's become a ****ing journeyman.

Inter, 2 years sat on his arse, Chelsea (interim yes, journeyman by definition), Napoli, AN other.

So, he's been a journey man since the early 90s you say.

Now, after that being totally disproved, now you say he is a journey man since june 2010? Inter one year, Chelsea 6 months as interim and Napoli?

I hope you are better at fudging the quarterly reports mate.<ok>

having one full time job, taking a temp job and taking another full time job THAT HE IS STILL AT, in 5 years, is a journeyman?

No. Not what I initially said, the follow up post was a piss take clown shoes <doh>

#48

Only in your tiny mind.

Another win for the Tobemeister. :)

You say 11 in 22 years
Then since Liverpool just before he quit
then you say since he took the inter job

That's not moving the goalposts?

And that is all while conveniently forgetting Rafa started out in management 16 years before most other managers do

I think it's time you got banned

You only ever wheel that one out when you feel a proper cock, as it's your Joker <laugh>

You've obviously read post #48 properly now <ok>
