Think milner is very different to hendo and yes we don't want to pay huge wages but experienced players in a squad can add a huge amount that exceeds their playing ability.

Nah, he's better than the likes of Allen, Lucas and Henderson and in the absence of Gerrard he'd waltz into your starting XI

Where's all this, "he's probably off to Arsenal" stuff come from? When would he manage to get a game at Arsenal? Out wide he would have to compete with Sanchez, Walcott, Ozil, Cazorla, Oxocube, Welbeck and centrally he'd have to compete with Ramsey, Coquelin, Wilshere, Arteta, rosicky, Cazorla and possibly a new DM in the summer to replace Flamini.

I just don't see that he'd be offered enough playing time at Arsenal to want the move, he seems annoyed at not getting enough game time at city so I can't see why he'd move to another club where he won't get game time. At Liverpool I'd imagine he would play far more and actually be a solid signing to make.

I agree, not saying he's our main man and 1st target this Summer but he is an upgrade on most we have and the wages are there with some that we are bound to sell.

He's better than Allen, similar quality to Hendo and not as good as Lucas but he's a DM and a very different player.

My point was I don't think he will sign somewhere to be a bit part player. He seems fed up of the bench

I wouldn't mind like, Milner has two PL winners medals and runners up from the last 3 years. Not good enough for Arsenal? <laugh>

Your point was with the players you have he's "not good enough" I think mate as well as not being content with a being a utility player.

At his age and situation, Arsenal is the best offer he is gonna get. Arsenal on form, looking good and in the CL.

He's a solid player, but he wouldn't get game time at Arsenal and he clearly wants to be playing more... Not sure how you got not good enough from that. I'd take him as a squad option but he wouldn't be happy with that as there are too many top quality midfielders in The Arsenal squad.

Liverpool close in on free transfer for Dnipro winger Yevhen Konoplyanka

Liverpool are set to sign Dnipro winger Yevhen Konoplyanka on a free transfer this summer.

Reports from the Daily Star suggest that Brendan Rodgers could finally get the winger that he missed out on 18 months ago, before Dnipro pulled the plug on the deal at the last minute.

The Anfield club are now set to land their target for free, despite interest from a host of other top clubs, including Manchester United, Tottenham, Seville, Monaco and Inter Milan.

Konoplyanka is considered to be one of the best players playing in Ukraine, and he previously admitted that his dream is to play in England.

The 25-year-old said: ‘My goal as a child was to play in England.

‘The leagues are stronger and I still want to try my hand there.”

Konoplyanka has impressed in the Europa League and he would be a great addition to Rodgers’ squad with his attacking ability.

It looks like there will be a lot of comings and goings this summer at Anfield, and to add Konoplyanka to Liverpool’s squad would be a great piece of business considering how much money they were willing to pay for him in the last January transfer window.

It could be that good things come to those who wait.
