It appears Jonas will be dropped indefinatley and has made his last appearance for Newcastle United.

His not the first person to fall foul of the regime for his twitter "antics". Earlier in the week he tweeted "NUFC fans deserve better" this is thought to be in response to Carver being unvailed to the players as the permanant head coach and will lead the team throughout the summer and next season. Carver obviously not happy with this has dropped him and as we all presumed will not be offered a new contract at the end of the season.

Pre-Match Carver said that Jonas had picked up a niggle in training and wasnt playing due to this slight injury, only for Jonas to tweet minutes later saying "No, I am not injured".

Not only is this a disgusting way to treat a loyal player who has fought tooth and nail to be back in a position where he can play competitive football, but what kind of message does that send out to other players and fans. I can see it having quite the detremental effect in the squad and it not ending well.

Nothing surprises me anymore. Jonas, whilst not being good enough, still gives more than most of the crock of **** we see on the pitch each week. I am sick to ****ing death of this sham of a club.

Would have much preferred him on the pitch as opposed to R.Taylor, I dont want to be to harsh on Ryan, but set pieces were attrocious and he clearly wasnt fit, there were stages where he was walking not getting back, not closing players and it either Ryan has had enough too, or he had picked up a knock and was forced to play either way its really poor management. I really dont think taylor is usually the type of player to not give 110%

Taylor really isn't anywhere near to being fit. But, those in charge don't care.

Wouldn't surprise me if the decision was more to do with Ashley or someone on a higher level than John Carver. They won't like the protests and will probably see Gutierrez as supporting it. Don't think Ashley likes freedom of speech within his businesses.

Jonas was dropped as his attitude is incompatible with the rest of the squad's.

In other words; he gives a ****.

If that is the case I fear a lot of people will just give up on the club. It would test my resolve for sure and where as I don't go to many matches (living far away previous seasons/no games this season as there is no point) or buy any club merchandise I'm 99% sure that would be it for the majority of the week in/week out fans.

We will have to wait and see because you can't trust the club and their stupidity.

If this is true then it is despicable.
If I were a player there is no incentive to move to NUFC at all.
I'd see it as a backwards step in my career.
Had a long drive down today and thought about our predicament a lot.
The way I feel now, instead of death by a thousand cuts, I'd rather a short sharp relegation to clear things out.
Even if Ashley stays it will at least clear all the wasters out of our club hopefully.

The lot of them do. Carver needs to **** off back to his cave in Cullercoats or wherever else he decided to lurch from.

If Carver is your manager next season at least we'll have the derbies back in the Championship the season after! Small mercies!

Disgraceful the way Jonas is being treated though. Not realy good enough but is a "100 percenter" unlike a large number of others (Gouffran??? FFS he makes Rodwell look good!)

Gouffran was a good player the first year he was here and was Bordeaux's best player when they played us in the Europa League. Don't know what's happened to Rodwell always liked him at Everton.

Man City happened to him - much as it has other players. Signed and left to rot when fully fit - also had a lot of injuries in his time here. I liked him at Everton too and thought we'd signed a "next level" player - guess that's why I coach under 10's and not pro's eh? :)

Good point, same seems to have happened with Adam Johnson (well apart from when he plays against Newcastle). Think we all thought that was the next level signing for Sunderland, thought the same with Johnson and others as well.

    Indeed.
He's a lap dog who does as he is told.
Jonas deserves much better than this.
He stuck with us when we went down and others jumped ship.
The very least you expect is for a bloke to be treat with the basics of respect.
Ashley wouldn't know what respect was if it were sellotaped to the end of a rampant rabbit dildo and violently rammed up his fat arse by an Albania Pirate called Kristov.

I live near Tranmere. They are currently bottom of League 2 (had a horrific few years) but if Carver gets appointed as Newcastle boss I think I may well start following them instead. For the cost of the 2-3 Newcastle games I get to each year I could go to most/all of Tranmeres games, they're my local club now and I'm gradually feeling less and less bothered about Newcastle. Cannot understand why Carver would even be an option.

That said I'm sure if we get a good manager and a few great players I'll be buzzing, probably can't actually switch it off...
