TRANSFER TALK - Ex-Sunderland man James McClean a £4million target for Newcastle [email protected] @youngsunecho 10:07Sunday 19 April 2015 10HAVE YOUR SAY FORMER Sunderland winger James McClean has been linked with a £4million summer move to rivals Newcastle United. The Daily Star reports that McClean is one of the Magpies’ principal targets at the end of the season, with current employers Wigan on the verge of relegation from the Championship. McClean left Sunderland in the summer of 2013 for just £1million after the club were keen to ship out the Republic of Ireland international, who had signed a lucrative new contract under Martin O’Neill’s stewardship. The 25-year-old has made 85 appearances for Wigan since then, but the Latics are currently five points adrift of safety in the Championship.
So he wasn't good enough for you guys when you weren't exactly doing well. He has since gone down a division and is in a team getting relegated so apparently we want him and are willing to pay 4 times what Wigan did? Seems pretty bloody far fetched, if Joe Kinnear still our DoF?
Having seen the way Ashley is doing at Ibrox, he's probably going for Lansdown Road as Sports Direct Stadium 2.The Irish need to beware - Rangers have just been fined $5.500 last week because of him.
Vuckic and Kuntz. Mclean must be part of the great rebuilding at Sid james starting in the summer, they need Danny graham and John o shea next.
