One of our better performances of the season I'd say. We pressed high for large parts of the game, defended well for the most part and created a **** load of chance that should have had the game killed off long before Harry's finish. All 3 goals were great finishes, even if Eriksen's did have a stroke of luck. Should have won by a bigger margin, with Kane, Lamela, Fazio and Bentaleb all having good chances.

Paulinho had his best game in a Spurs shirt this season, that was the sort of performance that I think convinced Levy to part with £17m last summer, a shame it's taken him til now where there's not much left for us to play for to actually shine. Was a real dynamic display, chased the ball down, won it, passed forward and made some forward runs too. Another player who's been criticised a lot also had a good game - Fazio - won every header I think and actually looked like a defender that wasn't going to gift away a goal/ goal scoring opportunity. In fact the whole team looked good, bar Lamela I'm afraid, he gave away the ball a number of times, went into challenges too rashly and just didn't do anything to overly impress me, Vorm's reaction of "FOR ****'S SAKE" kind of summed up his display. Surprised he stayed on the pitch, especially when Chadli was replaced who I thought was having a decent game.

Only major negative was yet again allowing Newcastle to score straight from 2nd half kick off, such a ****ty goal to concede, especially as it was from Colback who I think on another day could/ should have got a 2nd yellow, luckily our dominant display meant it didn't affect the outcome of the game.

Gives us a little momentum going into the Soton game, here's hoping Poch has a happy return to St Mary's.

Chadli appeared to indicate that he had a twinge on his hamstring as he was removed.
I don't think that he was the player that was going to come off until he did that.

I hear you. To me we seem more solid defensively with Dier at RB and Fazio as CB. I could be wrong thought. I dunno if Walker has found anything like his best form since returning from injury.

I'd agree with LockStock in that we've been more defensively sound with Dier at RB. I think Walker has been ****e for most of the season and when Dier's played there, he's put in solid performances - as has Vlad in fairness. Walker on form is no doubt our best option but his footballing brain is non-existent and his form is way too inconsistent. He's blessed with the pace and athletic build/ attributes to be a great full back but he's been a hindrance this season and was bad the season before last, too. He'll be 25 in a month, with Yedlin knocking on the door and Dier's impressive form, Walker may have trouble forcing his way back in the side next season (out for 4 weeks so doubt we'll see him again this season).
