"It was less difficult, than you think," he said. "Control their direct football to Marouane Fellaini and control the wingers from making crosses on the inside foot.

"When we know Wayne Rooney plays in midfield, we control his progression into the box. Control set-pieces and don't give away direct free-kicks as they have three specialists.

"Wait for a mistake and score a goal. We were able to make their important players disappear. Nobody saw them. They were in our pockets."

Don't think LVG will be happy with Jose basically saying he owned Louis tactically.

He had to say something to take the spotlight off a performance like that <ok>

Classic Jose of old, tongue firmly in cheek, nice backhanded wind up. No negative press reports, humour works. Jose is finally relaxing.

Was anything he said wrong though? We all know the way Jose sets up to beat teams that like to play. Soak up pressure and hit them on the break. It's happened so many times before. When I saw that Too eu was in midfield I knew the game was over before it had even started.

Spotlight off a winning performance? Jose had Long Ball Gaal in his pocket he not only guessed your team but dictated how we would allow you to play. It worked a treat Long Ball Gaal doesn't have a plan B, jose knows this. This was a comfortable win against a team who have punched above their weight. <ok>

lol everyones like "oooh a performance like that....yada yeada".
I was saying more than a week prior to the match that it would be exactly like that.
I will try to find the post, but I basically said United will have 60 odd percent possession and more shots, but we will just soak it up and hit em on the break.
    Exactly what happened.
If I could see it coming, then I am puzzled as to how anyone can even doubt for a second that Jose couldn't and that he set the team up to do exactly that (Let United have the ball and then punish them when they **** up).

We didnt **** up. Terry committed a foul and the ref played on. You scored from this advantage.

Before the usual suspects start shouting about De Gea being lucky. He was. No arguments.

You were wrong about the boring part. United helped on that front at least.

The **** you on about? Why would the ref play advantage to us if Terry had committed the foul?

If you are talking about him ploughing into Failcao then you have a point, seen it given 100 times, also seen them not given just as often though

Because we should have had a freekick. As he didnt give the foul, Chelsea gained an advantage.

    <ok>

I got ya, I thought you were saying ref played the advantage, which confused me, when Falcao was the one taken out.

Also, technically, you could consider any goal you concede as a **** up to be honest.
Since the job of the defenders is to stop the opposition scoring, if the opposition score, they done ****ed up.
Has LvG calmed down yet. Looked like he was ready to attack that BBC Interviewer after the game.
LvG has the skills, I am not sure about his emotional stability at the moment though to be honest, this outburst combined with the long ball stat thing.....makes you wonder if his head is okay in his old age :p

Past his best maybe. No plan B.

    Wenger II?

Tip tap but no end product

United fans starting to sound like Arsenal fans. Except they had to spend £220m to get there.

With his amazing bench why did LBL not have a plan b after plan a (Fellaini) failed?
