So you finally realise it's not all the immigrants fault Then!? or are you just contradicting your defense of UKIP? Either way we'll done for waking up!
This is true but immigration and the blame game attached to this UKIP policy is the main reason most of thier voters have come on board. Its clearly the motivation for Farage to get votes from day one and your probably in a very small minority afcftw if your voting for Farage for any other reason. in other profound realisations you can vote Conservative and not believe the rich should be considered more important than the working class but again your probably in a minority.
Farage thinks everything is the fault of immigrants as has been proved by his appearances on the TV debates
Immigration is obviously a hot topic amongst the voting public at the moment so it's no surprise it's been used as a vote winner. Most UKIP voters I meet are anti-EU rather than anti-immigration. It's worth noting that UKIP policy isn't anti-immigration but rather controlled immigration. It's policy is to implement a system that is points based and allows immigration for those with the skills the country needs, rather than just favouring any Europeans over people from the rest of the world. UKIP and Farage have made it clear that a referendum on our EU membership is the single key issue that will take priority over any other issue in terms of them helping to form any government.
On the TV debates he made it clear UKIPs policy would be to make positive use of immigration to fill skills gaps, which isn't quite the same as everything being there fault. Though I appreciate immigration has been used by UKIP to try and win votes.
At face value it all sounds very reasonable what ukip are saying but scratch beneath the surface of the immigration issue and we see a radical not only in farrage but also his followers. The guy openly states he will get rid of anti discrimination laws which were put in place to keep us out of the social dark ages. Ukip voters know this so what does that tell you about them?
I've got to say though that one thing that hasn't been mentioned on here - If we leave the EU then Wales (and a lot of other regions of the UK) are screwed - during the Thatcher and Major governments Wales was the 2nd poorest region in Europe, 2nd to only Albania. The amount of good EU funding has done to raise the standard of living, redistribute the wealth from the SE of England, help redevelop the industrial wastelands left by Thatcher around Wales (South Wales and Snowdonia in particular) and turn them into places people can be proud of, is amazing. We've also got the protection of the European court to help stop some of the more extreme laws being passed by governments as well.
You've totally ignored my post in that reply.I'll say it again Farage blames everything on immigrants as he proved in the TV debates
No I've read your post and responded and you've just repeated yourself as if somehow that invalidates my response.
Farage is a racist pure and simple,he blames immigrants for the problems of this country from unemployment to the lack of housing from the problems of the NHS to congestion on the roads. There was an evil bastard in Germany during the 1920's & 30's who blamed the Jews for everything and we all know how that ended up.
Your ridiculous to compare Farage to Hitler. Just because he thinks immigration rules should be changed doesn't somehow put him in the same league as someone who carried out the mass genocide of millions of people across Europe. Farage has a German wife, I hardly think he's about to start ethnically cleansing the Europeans. Just pulling out of the EU will do fine thanks. His stance is also not anti immigration, it's about making the most of immigration, controlling the numbers and type of immigrants we have comming to the country to better take advantage of the positives. The first of which is to abolish the xenophobic immigration laws we have now which favour Europeans over immigrants from anywhere else in the world. It's not about foreigners being bad, it's about getting the best people for the country at manageable levels to fill the skills gaps in our economy. Whilst he does make some less than savoury comments in his pursuit of votes, the core principle of a points based system is not in anyway racist.
Sorry but Europeans make up only about 30% of the numbers of immigrants coming to the UK. The percentage of Europeans amongst the migrant populations in countries like Germany, France etc. is much higher. Also, the European migrant population in the UK. pays much more into the social system than it takes out - where do you get the idea that Britain has a 'problem' with immigration from the EU ? There is also the question of the million or so Britons living in other EU countries - what is their position in the event of a British withdrawal from the EU ?
Our immigration system is open doors to Europeans, whereas non-EU residents have to go through a different, more difficult process. The only way governments can do anything about immigration whilst we remain part of the EU is to cut non-EU immigration making it even more tipped towards European migrants. This is xenophobic, I'd rather we take immigrants from anywhere in the world based on what they are able to contribute, I.e. A points based system. Where are you getting your numbers from? Where does this 30% number come from? According to the governments own immigration figures it's almost level EU and non-EU net migration numbers (40% and 45% respectively). As for Brits living in other EU countries that'd be up to those individual nations to decide what they'd do with the Brits who have recidency in there countries should we pull out of the EU.
I would dare anyone to read this article and then tell me Farage is not a racist http://www.theguardian.com/politics...-alan-sked-party-become-frankensteins-monster
It's an article which has a man who parted ways non-amicably with UKIP and has started a rival left wing version of the party and so has more than one clear motive for wanting to damage UKIP, it's a completely biased source. On top of that there is one line in the entire article that talks about farage being racist and it's this guy with a clear chip on his shoulder about farage claiming farage used the word "******" which farage denies. Yep that's overwhelming evidence of him being a racist. How could anyone possibly question that now..
