Well at least Rosberg realized that you can actually pass cars on track, but he never had a chance at winning. Mercedes made a mess of Hamilton's first pit stop or else he would have had about 10 seconds on the field since he was well over 6 seconds by then. I think Vettel bottled it with two soft mistakes to give Rosberg the overtake, the second one damaged his front wing... Not a good race for him. Kimi drove well, thy pitted him a couple laps too late but I doubt he would have caught Hamilton who seemed to be managing his tyres and brakes but was still able to maintain over 5 seconds over the field. Sorry for Massa but Bottas drove really well to keep Vettel behind at the end. Alonso, great race from him..oh what he would give to be in that Ferrari today.
Notice Hamilton took a look at the podium girls and walked away? He doesn't want to be caught up in that again and then he know which country he is in so... Don't try that..lol
To be honest, I really don't like it when they spray the women on the podium. Just not very gentlemanly imo, so I'm glad it'll stop. Call me an old fashioned bugger.
Rosberg won the race for Hamilton and that's what #2 drivers do. If he is was allowed to win he wouldn't be managing gaps.
Could have been a cracker, but it was good none the less. Surprised at Vettel, didn't have the consistent pace and 3 or 4 mistakes which cost him - unusual for him. Given the brake issues, I think Ferrari (with hindsight) will be kicking themselves - a lap earlier on both the stints for Kimi and who knows. Glad Nico was feisty today with some hard overtakes - shame we don't see those on his teammate - incapable or not allowed? Didn't like the sound of the Merc strategy as soon as Nico was a buffer between Lewis and the Ferraris.
Looking forward to the Indy Grand Prix of Long Beach this afternoon now, though the first two races have been an utter shambles. Anybody else been watching?
