We were ****e to be fair. Very poor and lacklustre performance, even more disappointing when you consider the occasion.

It'll be interesting to see what happens between now and the end of the season. Will Rodgers stop playing the likes of Balotelli as he knows they'll be leaving or will he be playing them to put them in the shop window, as we have little to play for.

I think sacking Rodgers will be at least talked about now at the end of the season barring a miracle (us getting top 4). I also think the "transfer committee" really needs to be looked at because its obviously not working going by our summer transfer window which has been nothing short of disastrous and the main reason we haven't been anywhere near the top 4 all season.

 

You dont know what a fluke is do you?

Last season is a pretty good example of a fluke. Look at the season before and after and ask yourself, which is the odd one out.

That will be the fluke.

 

Can someone please post a transcript of both managers post-match interviews. I'm not expecting pearls of wisdom here but entertainment value will be pure comedy gold.

 

Off to work on a 12 hour night shift, so I'll try and post my ratings later. Got to say straight off though: well done Villa - better side and deserved to win by more. Good luck in the final, but I suspect you'll find it a damn sight harder than today.

 

Cups are nice but the league is what matters.

Not really worthless. Just not enough for the biggest clubs to claim a great season off the back of winning them.
