I agree although I enjoyed the third in the new star wars lot (episode III) the other two were gash but my son enjoyed them... Maybe in the same way that I fell in love with the originals? Totally agree with every word on Indiana Jones. Raiders was immense. Temple not as good but still very good... Last crusade was awesome. And it truly should've been the "last crusade" not the "last crusade until we decide to make a ****e fourth one"
Indiana Jones is probably the finest trilogy ever! They were just so consistant! Whenever I stumble upon them on the telly I'll put it on with the intention of watching it for ten minutes! I'll end up watching the whole thing. Only the first Die Hard has me doing the same! When I watched Crystal Skull I felt cheated, and I dont normally get over emotional over films! When I think of Indiana Jones I try and blank the 4th one from my memory!
I have it on good authority that Hans Solo dies in the new Star Wars film! Possibly quite early on as well!
Didn't watch Crystal skull. Won't watch this either, I find something undignified bout a bunch of 30+ men going on like kids over some film company's desperation to bring back old classics back to life. I hate prequels, sequels(generally) and remakes. Everyone in the film and Music industry have completely lost their imagination. Do something ****ing original I say or it's barely going to register my attention.
I used to work with a lass we nicknamed Chewbacca as her arms were more hairy than a ****ing silverback.
I enjoyed Indiana Jones as a kid! Due to that fact I cannot shake off the enjoyment of watching them now! I 'enjoyed' supporting SAFC as a kid! Due to that fact I cannot shake off the 'enjoyment' of supporting them now! I suppose its passion stemming from our experiences as children which is to blame!
My daughters middle name is Leia. I love Star Wars as said above because I loved it as a kid. All of my musical taste was from as growing up listening to deep purple, t-Rex, Zeppelin and, in mylater kids years, Bon jovi.
I think Sci-fi as a genre is ****ing stupid. I hate lasers and stupid space ships. The worst thing about Star Wars is the boring crap that comes with it when ya sat round a table drinking with the lads and somebody cracks a 'Jabba the hut' reference as a joke, I just sit there dead pan because I've no clue who it is, all I'm thinking is 'You're not funny I wish I didn't come'.
I love good science fiction. Alien showed it can be done. A few more decent ones. The thing that ****s me off is that Star Wars is just ****. It's utterly **** from top to bottom. I'd go as far as to say there's no one enjoyable bit in any of the however many films/cartoons/whatever the **** else they're making. It's dreadful and I feel our race are stupider knowing it exists and we created it. If ever there was a reason for a nuclear holocaust to kill us all an leave the cockroaches and Keith Richards to breed and repopulate the world... it was the conception of this abomination.
Was dragged to see them live at wembley in the early 80's when I was young Billy - easily impressionable - love their early stuff (New Jersey/Slippery when wet/7800 degrees fahrenheit) but their later stuff from mid 90's onwards is utter gash - I will not go to see them now. I fell in love with the guitar cos of Sambora and will not apologise for it - used to be a good band - not now!! As for T-Rex - I was named after Bolan (Real name is Marc) and my dad loved them so had no choice - also into James Taylor (much moreso now) and the Foo FIghters - but I rarely do Bon Jovi or T-Rex - more Beatles, Creedence Clearwater Revival or Fleetwood Mac and that type. (And AC/DC or Zeppelin)
When people do that Yoda voice, I just want to rip their voice box out and stamp on it. Like when people bang on about Spaceballs as if it's funny, it's Rick Moranis for **** sake, he's about as funny as finding out you need your legs amputated. I've got a different sense of humour to many people, but I can tolerate a lot of ****. Not that much though. Too much.
Christ Almighty mate. If my dad had named me after that ****er I'd have punched the sad **** right in the mush & changed it by deed poll. That said, I named my oldest daughter after a Russian ice skater & my son after Quinny & Sorenson. Natalia & Niall Thomas.
"Rip their voice box out I will. Stamp on it I will!!" You mean that sort of thing? Spaceballs is **** btw!
