I had softball training from 3 to 5 this afternoon so didn't know the score until after. Even though it's an earlier kick-off, as I have to get the bus to training and have to leave home before the end of Brighton game, I'll be recording it. I haven't seen us win this season at the time the game is played (out for the Fulham game and recorded the Boro game) and I'll be at the Vic in 2 weeks time.....

Morning all from a chilly Weston-super-Mare, apologies for my tardiness but I had things to sort out in my moderation duties! <steam>

Very well done for withstanding the pressure yesterday. Have a good and restful day! <ok>

Morning all from a bright and sunny rural France. Looks as if this will be a good day as I will off out to lunch with my football friends. Of course it would be simple to talk about our lofty position in the league table, but I think it prudent to hold back a bit with two more games to go, especially when you look at what happened on the south coast yesterday.

Have a good day all. :emoticon-0100-smile

Morning all from a dull and overcast Bandit Country. Whilst it was not a great attacking game yesterday, we were very much in control and Denney really showed what a great leader he is - awesome performance.
Got a bit of an difficult and emotional day today, Mrs W_Y and her brother are ready to let go of their parents Bungalow and the real clear out starts today. Skip is on the drive for the mountains of wood the Pa-In-Law had collected over the years - bless him, he loved working with wood and hated to throw even the smallest piece away. My youngest son is having his tools and one of his work-benches (he had 4!) and he has a new shed in my garden waiting. But it will be really difficult for Mrs W_Y to start really letting go..

My sympathies with that w-y. When my dad died I came over from Oz for a month to help mum, during which time the decision was made to sell the house & find her a flat. Dad was a squirrel too & it took an absolute age to clear the house of his stuff. During the war, he had been drafted into the dental corps - we found all his 'instruments of torture' hidden away in the garage. Most of the tools he had had been inherited from his father - and who had probably inherited them from his too. He was also a model railway fanatic & had dozens of working kit models in cabinets around the house, as well an attic converted into a miniature circuit.
It's so sad to just have to 'throw away' someone's life in such a manner...;(

On this issue perhaps but I'd put it down to frustration. He's frequently on our local news here and he comes across as one of the calmer more thoughtful managers than many in the FL.

Frustration that his team have only been awarded 27 penalties in the last two seasons? Does he want/expect a monopoly on them?

BB, I am not disputing that his current complaint is ridiculous but to dismiss him as a "plank" does not reflect his comments over two seasons on our local news. I'm surprised that he's come up with this in the light of the impression he generally gives. Many others, from Mourinho downwards, appear to me to have a much more persistent one-eyed view.

Morning all, looks as if the weather is about to warm up again now Yorkie has returned to the UK.. :emoticon-0103-cool:

I remember sometime back reading that all teams promoted to the PL would have to spend a large amount, (cannot remember the figures quoted) to install cables and equipment for the goal line technology. I have not watched very much PL football this season, but cannot think that I have seen it used. Anyone have any thoughts on this?

I worry. We have arrived in the top position but can we hold on. A win in Brighton will help for automatic promotion and I do not want the play off matches as I would be a nervous car crash. We can finish fourth still as the worst case.
