Looking at the long runs, it does seem that teams could be borderline on what combination they run and when they run it. I still think the Merc has the edge on race pace, but as long as it's close and keeps Merc on their toes they will have to race. When teams race mistakes can happen, far too often last year they were out front for a Sunday drive with everything turned down.
Good GP2 race. Vandoorne got shafted by the safety car, but is closing in on Rossi for the win with just four laps to go.
The lead commentator was dreadful. Impressive race by King though, Lynn just spent most of the race moaning about his car and the crash that led to the safety car was ridiculous, it could have easily been avoided.
Awful from Sky, a feature which involved two people having a drive over some rocks and talking rubbish.
I don't think he'll be too fussed after Alonso's performance but it'll be nice if the woes are behind him for tomorrow, there's points for McLaren if the cars last the race. I wnder how Mercedes and Ferrari feel about the McLaren, they're making huge jumps in performance very quickly, I can see them stealing points off the other two by the end of the season.
Nice one Alonso. Though I think Button could have done something quicker this weekend if he had some luck. Though this doesn't mean much to the team. They are still testing. The next race will show something more meaningful.
That's the most exciting qualifying in a long time! Thought Vettel was going to nick that for a while!
It was! I suddenly realised I had a feeling I haven't had for a while: that butterfly stomach, will he - won't he? It looks like I'll be having that feeling again tomorrow. Excellent stuff from Sainz and I'm very pleased to see Hulk in the top 10 again.
Well Rosberg wanted Vettel to be closer and Hamilton to be quicker so at least he is getting his wish. Watching him after the session I am starting to feel a little sorry for him, seems like he is very down. He is already finding excuses for why he failed again.
