I wouldn't be surprised one bit if Pardew carried out an old pals act with Pullis and gave them the points in order to rub our noses in it..
I would be pretty surprised to be honest. The more points they finish above Newcastle the better he looks and at the moment he's looking amazing (which he isn't, he's good and perhaps even better than average but nothing more). West Brom looked revitalised at first under Pulis and have fallen away but he was always going to get them back on track. Villa are still in it but West Brom are fine in my view anyway.
Leicester dominating Swansea and 1-0 up, Everton 1-0 up against Burnley. West Brom will be safe regardless of todays result.
Think west brom are safe regardless of today. Its 3 from 5 imo The way Leicester are going we are relying on hull QPR n burnley
Could do with Swansea equalising in the last 15 to take the wind out of Leicester's sails; they are getting a bit of momentum.
2-3 weeks ago Leicester were totally out of the equation! Wasnt even keeping tabs on their scores! When they did win you knew they would just lose the next one! Well done to them! We could be on the wrong end of this seasons miracle! The irony! Well done them though! If we are to go down I hope it is at the expense of Leicester!
It's worth noting that Leicester and QPR both have Newcastle at home still to play. We are the closest thing to 3 points that any team could hope for at the momet. Next weekend is huge for you, I can see QPR and Burnley both winning so have 1 point separating the bottom 5 teams. Leicester then have by far the nicest run in with Hull looking in huge trouble. I think you'll be ok but if next weekend goes against you it is going to get messy.
I'd be miserable as sin if we do go down, however I will take great solace in the fact that we ****ing 100% deserve it, by miles! We are lucky we are still in with a fighting chance! Our results and performances at home would indicate that we should be rock bottom and about 10 points from safety! In fact, I cant really remember us playing this badly in our record low points seasons! Or has the pain been numbed by the passage of time???
I'm sure Sunderland were the main reason I went through more than my fair share of nappies when I was a bairn! Its always been the same! Nearly 30 years of supporting them and I could probably count on one hand the number of seasons we have sat comfortably in mid table and not been dabbling in the nail biting, arse clenching anxieties of promotion or relegation!
I said about 7 weeks ago Leicester may get out of it because they creat miles more chances than any of the bottom teams and look what's happened. Should of put money on the ****s.
Im like you QQB. 42 years of this and its probably the most depressing season ever. Apart from when we lost to Gillingham in the play offs..bad. And when we appointed Howard Wilkinson..bad...and then appointed Steve Cockerill as the saviour...bad; and then broke the record for the worst premier team ever...bad. ~But the good thing is that after a quite short period of time we seem to land in a bucket of s**t and then come out of it smelling of something better. On the other hand it is boring being mid table....although it would be a novelty to try it for even one year.
We have to hope Leicester are 4 points clear of the bottom 3 before they come here, as it is Hull, Burnley and QPR who have to finish below us.
