For some reason I don't think they'll try to sell him elsewhere anyway. My hunch is they'll either hold us up for more money or keep him.
The truth is, this is not a big surprise. We haven't played all that well for sometime even in games we've won, it's just a shame we couldn't turn over dirty Stoke.
Really not too bothered about this. With the exception of one round of EL qualifying, there's no real difference between 5th and 7th (given that I have every faith in Arsenal and Liverpool to both win this weekend). Real shame that Bmouth dropped two points so late on. Still, it's in their own hands.
Cards were a function of how the game played out. We had the obvious, ref-has-no-choice calls. Stoke was the more physical, rule-bendy side over the course of the game but for them not to get a card was mostly an accumulation of getting away with borderline stuff. They probably should have had a card or two, but it didn't alter the outcome of the game. As much as I dislike Stoke and think they are thugs, and as much as I dislike Clattenburg we just didn't play well and can't complain about the result.
Some posters would do well to remember the start of the season . Top 8 I will be HAPPY With , anything less will be a disappointment , anything better will be a bonus .
Either we were particularly clumsy to earn 4 yellows or they were particularly clever. After all Stoke are known to be a physical side. Or were we trying to hard?
Well, cooled down about that surprisingly quickly. Very annoyed we didn't get something from the game, we certainly deserved to. Got to win next weekend, going to it so really looking forward to it ! Would like to support reading this evening but need arsenal to win so i guess will have to bite my lip and get on with it !
