    Fair point.

    Still true, though.

Isn't it amazing that 'whose country would do whose country in a fight' still evokes emotion these days?

Ever since the onset of globalization we're all friendly gentle commerce engaging buddies who never need to fight each other again (apart from the poor Tobyesque ****holes like Venezueala or Zimbabwe.) Capitalism has truly fixed the world.

    Maybe I should elaborate.

Nah, they're ours. Anyway, colonial claims to the Falkland Islands in the 21st century are irrelevant as the overwhelming majority of Falklanders voted to remain a British Overseas Territory in the 2013 referendum. The UN charter dictates that self determination is a universal right, so it doesn't matter if Argentina have a claim as the will of people overrides their colonial pursuits.

a war was fought over it, Britain won. Belongs to Britain unless the Argies successfully invade or Britain get bored and leave!

The tabloids will be praying for a conflict so they can unleash their favourite jingoistic puns and taunts (Argie Bargie, No Way José, Dago-ing Too Far).
